We won!
It was a really close one though. We worked hard to beat them- we left everything on that field so we need to celebrate accordingly. It's a Sunday night but the club is crowded. Thankfully, Ashton thought ahead and reserved large lounge for all of us.

Besides our big win, we're also celebrating Dylan's big success—he's just been drafted by Chicago's A-team, and he'll be playing for them next season. It's a huge achievement.

Our team plays in the Independent League, which isn't affiliated with Major League. However, Independent leagues are still an important stepping stone for players. They give athletes the chance to gain experience and showcase their skills, often catching the attention of MLB scouts.

Coach told us a few weeks ago that agents and scouts from major teams would be attending our games and training sessions, so everyone here has a shot at being noticed. I'm not worried that I haven't been chosen yet—I know my time will come. I'm good at this sport. Actually, it's the one thing I know and love to do.

Yes I have a diploma from economy and Mom imagines me as her successor in our family company to inherit, but sitting in the office as the days pass by, indulging my energy in market preferences and shaking hands with numbers of boring people is not what I am looking for. I'm too wild for that. I need a motion. Lots of it. I need to feel the rush and hear the pounding of my heart to know I'm alive.

Today is Amber with me. She was in audience with my family and she decided to celebrate with us. Maybe I'll get drunk and show her who is the champion tonight. Or not. Maybe I'll get drunk and lean on the neighbor's fence to watch the other girl. Or not.

I've had two shots already when I see HER best friend Mia coming to sit next to my best friend Ashton who apparently invited her to celebrate tonight. She looks little tired like she has a hangover or something. I'm curious what she did last night. I'm sure she was with Chloe but I can't ask her anything. We are not friends, we just tolerate each other because of Ashton. We barely talk.

In the distant crowd I recognize O'Connell; walking lamely with his hands in pockets. It is Sunday 10 p.m.- isn't he supposed to be getting ready for another boring day at work instead of intruding someone else's celebration?

Wait- Is he lone? I wonder where Chloe is. He never goes out without her. He is like her dog which she goes to walk out sometimes. I watch him with disgust. His boring casual outfit with the-always-shaved jaw just seems so overdone, too nice that it makes me sick to look at this stereotypical good boy. I find myself shaking my head when his voice snaps me out of my daydreaming.

"Hey guys how are you doing?" I know it can be seen how disgusted I am by his presence. This is what Chloe wants? Is this the way how I should interact, dress and behave to get to her? To impress her? Like a nice mommy's boy? Nah! She wouldn't want me even like this!
