This week was the annual showcase for the ALDC. I was coming off of a high because I won both of my solos last week. One in the Mini Junior category and the other in the Mini Junior Ballet category.

I did homeschool for the next two days because I had woken up early and felt motivated. Once I had finished that I started to get ready for dance. I slipped on black booty shorts with a hot pink bra. I put a teal hoodie over it and then put my sandals on. 

"Av, let's go! You have class in 30 minutes!" my mom shouted from downstairs.

"Coming!" I said back to her. I grabbed my dance bag and ran downstairs. 

I hopped into her SUV and we drove off.

Once we got there, I started stretching with some of the other girls. When I was done stretching, I walked into my ballet class. 

I love ballet so much. It makes me look very grown and pretty. 

After ballet, I had a jazz class and then my voice lesson. Then it was finally time for pyramid.

After last weekend, I was a bit nervous to see Christi, but I am sure I would be fine.

"Let's go girls, get in here!" Abby yelled as we walked into the room with our moms. I sat next to Maddie in front of the chalkboard. 

"First, I want to talk about this past weekend. I am very disappointed. Every single one of you could have done better on your solo. Moving on, I want to forget about last weekend. What's going to happen this weekend?" she says.

"It's the ALDC showcase!" Paige says.

"Thank you. Yes" Miss Abby says as she turns the board around.

"We are doing the new number, 'Sugar Daddies', at the showcase. Avalon, you won the overall high score at the competition. Boom. Nia, forgot the dance, made it up, went on finished with the music. Chloe, did a great job. There were some other situations. You're here. I want to see that attitude improve on stage. You never know who is watching you." she tells us. I was happy I was on the top of the pyramid.

"All right, I have a few surprises during the showcase. I don't want to pressure you, but in the audience at the showcase is going to be... an agent coming to seek new talent and looking for new clients to sign." I looked at Maddie with a huge smile on my face. 

I loved acting and it is one of my dreams to be an actor, so to hear that an agent is coming to see us, makes me so happy. 

"Moms, you are going to be performing in the show as well." I looked over at my mom laughing  because I knew she would not be happy to do this. 

"Oh and Cathy, you're going to be the choreographer." Abby said.

"Nationals are getting closer and closer. With every competition you get better and you get stronger. So, this showcase is going to be a nice chance to entertain rather than compete, but it all is leading up to nationals." Miss Abby says. 

"Because we want to do what?" she asks.

"WIN!" we all say.

"Moms dismissed, girls up, let's start with 'Sugar Daddies'." Miss Abby tells us all.
