Thank you to @ Uberiahashtagasuber for requesting! Solarhumans au. The title is a song reference! I really like Earth and Luna too lol. They're the best sillies <3 Sorry I let a bit of my astronomy nerdiness into this lol-||

Luna was in his orbit,bored. Earth was too busy playing Card games to notice him and he had been playing for a while...

Luna was growing irritated because of boredom and the Earth not paying attention to him so he decided he wasn't going to just sit in his orbit until his planet was done.

Luna got up and looked to make sure Earth wasn't looking (which he obviously wasn't) and snuck out of his orbit, venturing out to beyond.

He walked off in the vastness of space,looking out at the void around him. He thought he just snuck off for no reason until he heard shouting.

"Oh my god guys look! It's Earth natural satellite!" The voice squealed.

Before he knew it he got crowded by 3 smaller celestial objects.

"Eeeek is it really you? Are you Earths moon?!" The same one spoke. Luna was taken back and his eyes darted around for a moment with his mouth open.

"E-Ermm yes?..." Luna answered,trying to brush off the randomness of this situation.

"Sorry,sorry- GU can get a little excited...I'm Kamoʻoalewa! And that's Cruithne! We're all Quasi-Sattelites of Earth!" The asteroid-looking object spoke.

"Except me...I'm just co-orbital to Earth." The last one, Cruithne, spoke. probably the only one that looked like she didn't care at all about this.

"Yes,Yes that's true...I'm the most true quasi satellite of Earth,nice to meet you errr...." Kamo'oalewa put her small hand out for a handshake. "Luna." Luna smiled,accepting the handshake and making sure not to crush her hand.

"Luna! Nice name! Sorry the others couldn't meet you, everybody's orbits are super random so it's hard to gather everyone up. Us three just happened to cross paths today!" She withdrew her hand.

"So..! What's it like being Earths moon?" GU looked in awe. "Is he as cool as he looks from far away?"

"Erhmm..." Luna looked away awkwardly. The only reason he was here was because Earth wasn't paying him any mind at all.

"Yes!...He's..A real eye catcher for sure heh...he's very friendly." Luna said a bit awkwardly and unsurely. "Woah..." GU looked even more in awe at this.

"Really huh?" Cruithne looked Luna up and down. "Why are you out here then? I'd expect the golden moon of the golden planets to be a little less rebellious..." She judged with a bit of a nasty look on her face.

"Err..." Luna looked down. "No I'm just exploring...Because Earths busy..."

"Too busy for his moon? What's so important that's he's ignoring his only moon? You must really be not important..." She said,clearly just trying to make Luna feel bad which worked.

"Hey...Don't be mean Cruithne..." Kamo'oalewa spoke.

"I- uh..." Luna stuttered not knowing how to refute the claim.

Cruithne looked at Luna unimpressed. "I expected the only true moon of Earth to be a little more interesting. You look just like every other forgotten, grey moon. You realise the only reason people care about you is because you orbit Earth right?" She crossed her arms.

"I...I..." Luna looked down shamefully,tears pooling up in his eyes.

"Maybe I should be Earths true moon instead, I'm Atleast a little unique..." Cruithne suggested with spite.

Luna felt embarrassed and humiliated and turned around to go back. "I-it was nice to meet you all..." he abruptly left,not even giving a proper goodbye.

Kamo'oalewa looked at Cruithne, disappointed. "You made him upset!" She narrowed her eyes. Cruithne just did an eyeroll at this meanwhile GU looked at them,confused on what just happened.

[Meanwhile]

Luna went back to his orbit and Earth was done playing cards by now. "Moon! Where were y- oh!.." Earth immediately stopped when he saw a few tears streaming down Luna's face.

Earth went over to Luna and placed his hands on his shoulders,looking into his eyes. "What happened?..." He asked,concerned.

"W-why didn't you tell me you had other moons?..." Luna turned away from Earths gaze,still upset.

"Other..- huh?" Earth raised an eyebrow. "I met some of them today...they called themselves your quasi-satellites..." Luna tried to push Earths hands off of himself.

"Ohhh..." Earth realised what Luna was talking about and chuckled a little.

"Am I not as special to you as I thought?..." Luna wiped the tears off his cheeks. "Don't be silly Luna...of course you are..." Earth gently pulled Luna into his arms and sat down.

Earth held Luna tightly against him "They're just quasi-moons and co-orbital objects....And they're all temporary anyways. All of them will probably be gone in a few hundred years or so...unlike you.." He explained.

Luna breath shook as he laid cuddled up with Earth. This felt pretty nice...

"You're going to be here forever unlike them,you're the most important to me...You've known me all your life so you should I cherish you Luna.." Earth brushed his fingers through Luna's hair in a comforting manner. Luna slightly smiled as his chest rised up and down. he started to feel a bit sleepy from the cuddling.

"And besides you're my only natural satellite." Earth played with strands of Luna hair, his arms still wrapped around the little moon.

"Thank you Earth..." Luna's eyes fluttered open and shut. They stayed in each others embrace for a while until Luna fell asleep.

Earth softly smiled,looking down at his sleeping moon. "I love you Luna..." He brushed some hair out of Luna's face and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead.

Earth eventually fell asleep too and they dozed off in the comfort of each others warmth.

"Aw they're so adorable,aren't they?" Mercury spoke. He and Venus had seen this from afar. "Shut up pipsqueak..."

Lmao Venus is just jealous he doesn't have a moon- Don't tell Luna he's drifting away from Earth- it'll ruin the moment. and yeah I'm nerdy when t comes to space if you couldn't tell from this T-T Yep Earth technically has other 'moons' fun fact!
