Tires screeching, horns blaring, lights blinding, shouting as loud as lions, the deadly silence, the shock. Crash, we've crashed. My mind races with a million and one thoughts before the darkness seeps in and takes over my weak body.
"15 year old girl, found unconscious at the scene of a car accident down park lane, London, a cut to the head, risk of concussion, possible fractured wrist" I hear somebody shout as I lay helpless on the bed I was transfered onto.
"Thank you. we have her from here." I'm in a hospital! No,no,no. Where's my mum? Dad? Brother? Fuck! Not today! Not ever!
"Hiya sweetheart, I'm gonna need you to take big long deap breaths in okay, in through your nose and out through your mouth, okay? Good girl. Can you tell me your name, hon?" My head is throbing. When will the pain go away!
"Is there anyone we can call for you, princess, parents, a guardian?" The nurse asks me, "my parents were in the accident. Are they not here?" It's not true! It's not true!
"Oh honey, there not here, um are you sure there's no one we can call?" No, there's no one. I'm now a stupid little old orphan!
"They were in the accident... please, find my parents!"I'll do everything I can for you, my dear, I promise!"
2 hours and 36 minutes to be exact went by, no calls, no doctors, no nurse. I had my arm put in a cast, and my head stitched up before I was left alone. Nobody called, not even a soul would visit me.
"Hey honey, I'm very sorry but your parents died at the scene, I'm so sorry, is there anybody we can call?" I stay silent before answering no, and being told I was being out on the adoption centres system. Not even 24 hours had gone by since the accident, 5 hours I've been lying in this manky hospital bed.
I met with the agent from the adoption centre. Apparently, some 26 year old guy felt bad for me and heard my story online? I guess he just wants fame or clout as long as I stay silent. Maybe I won't be noticed.
