I was wide awake, my mind spinning in circles as I sat on the edge of the bed, picking at my nails. The hours seemed to drag on endlessly, the dim light of dawn creeping through the curtains. The sun was almost up, and still, there was no news about Heeseung-hyung. The worry gnawed at me, relentless and unforgiving.

Jake-hyung had fallen asleep about an hour ago, his exhaustion finally winning over his worry. He lay beside me, his breathing steady and calm, a stark contrast to the turmoil I felt inside. I envied his ability to find a moment of peace amidst the storm, but sleep was elusive for me. Every sound, every creak of the house, set my nerves on edge. I couldn't help but imagine the worst-case scenarios playing out in the dark corners of my mind.

I kept glancing at the clock on the nightstand, each minute stretching into an eternity. The waiting was unbearable, a constant reminder of the precarious situation we found ourselves in. The fear of what might be happening to Heeseung-hyung, and the knowledge that he had gone into a dangerous meeting alone, weighed heavily on me.

The minutes ticked by, and I found myself lost in a haze of anxious thoughts. My fingers continued to pick at the edges of my nails, a nervous habit that offered little comfort but kept me occupied. I couldn't shake the worry that something might have gone wrong, that Heeseung-hyung might be in trouble, and I was powerless to help him.

The sudden sound of the door opening jolted me out of my spiraling thoughts. I looked up to see Heeseung-hyung stepping into the room. The first thing I noticed was his expression-his face was lit up with an unmistakable blend of excitement and relief. My heart skipped a beat at the sight of him, a flood of mixed emotions rushing over me.

"Heeseung-hyung!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with relief and concern as I sprang to my feet. "Are you okay? Did something happen? We've been so worried-"

Heeseung-hyung's eyes softened at my frantic words, and he raised a hand in a calming gesture. "Sunoo," he said gently, his smile widening. "I'm fine. Everything went better than expected."

My eyes searched his face, looking for any sign of injury or distress, but he seemed perfectly fine, almost invigorated. The worry that had gripped me began to ease slightly, but the anxiety still lingered. "Are you sure? Nothing happened? We were so afraid-"

Heeseung-hyung's smile didn't falter as he reached into his pocket, pulling out a folded document. "I have something for you," he said, his voice carrying a note of triumph and tenderness.

I took the paper from him, my hands trembling slightly as I unfolded it. The top of the document read "Divorce Decree," and it took a moment for the full significance of what I was holding to sink in. My eyes flew up to meet Heeseung-hyung's.

"What-what is this?" I stammered, my heart racing as I struggled to grasp the reality of the situation. "Is this-?"

Heeseung-hyung's smile grew even brighter, and he nodded. "It's your divorce papers. I made sure that Jinyun can no longer lay any claim over you. You're free from him. Completely free."

The weight of the words hit me like a tidal wave, and for a moment, I could only stare at the document in disbelief. The sense of relief that washed over me was overwhelming, and tears sprang to my eyes. The fear and dread that had been a constant presence seemed to dissolve in the face of this newfound freedom.

"You did this?" I asked, my voice trembling with emotion. "You really did this for me?"

Heeseung-hyung nodded, his eyes softening with affection. "Of course. I promised you that I would protect you, and I meant it. You're not a possession, Sunoo. You're a person, and you deserve to be free."

As I looked at the divorce papers in my hands, I felt a profound wave of gratitude and love for Heeseung-hyung. His actions, driven by his promise and his deep care for me, had given me something I thought was impossible, freedom from Jinyun and the oppressive life I had endured.

Jake-hyung stirred beside me, his eyes blinking open as he noticed the commotion. He sat up, confusion quickly giving way to understanding as he saw the document in my hands. His eyes met mine, and I saw the same relief and joy reflected there.

"Heeseung-hyung, thank you," I said softly, my voice choked with emotion. "Thank you so much."

Heeseung-hyung stepped closer, pulling me into a warm embrace. I could feel his heartbeat against my chest, a comforting reminder that he was here with me, that he was fighting for me. "I told you," he murmured into my hair. "I'd do whatever it takes to keep you safe. You mean everything to me."

Jake-hyung, now fully awake and sitting up, reached out and took Heeseung-hyung's hand, his expression a mixture of gratitude and admiration. "I knew you'd come through," he said softly, his voice filled with warmth. "I knew you wouldn't let us down."

The three of us stood there for a moment, wrapped in the comfort of our shared relief. The divorce papers in my hand were no longer just a symbol of my past fears but a beacon of hope for a future where I could be free and safe. The road ahead might still be fraught with challenges, but for the first time in what felt like an eternity, I had hope.

As Heeseung-hyung held me, his arms strong and protective around me, I felt a profound sense of peace settle over me. The fear and uncertainty that had dominated my life for so long seemed to recede, replaced by the assurance that, with Heeseung-hyung and Jake-hyung by my side, I could face whatever came next.

As I looked up at Heeseung-hyung, his face illuminated with genuine affection, I felt a deep sense of gratitude. Despite the turmoil and the challenges ahead, I knew that I wasn't alone. I had the support of two people who cared for me deeply, who were willing to go to great lengths to ensure my safety and happiness.

The thought of a future without Jinyun's shadow looming over me filled me with a cautious optimism. With Heeseung-hyung's promise and Jake-hyung's unwavering support, I felt like I had a fighting chance to rebuild my life, to find a sense of normalcy amidst the chaos.
