(3rd POV)The sun was nearly setting and Lucia is left contemplating her experience with the oddity that was Mordred, not just in a literal sense but also metaphorically.
Whom she later learned is emotionally muted and explained why his behavior was off.
It made Lucia flustered a bit as she had misjudged him without knowing more about him.
However even with his lack of emotions as some servants would say, he still held respect and a refined behavior.
Though it could be said that given he is lacking in emotions, his attitude is supplanted by his logical thinking and rationality.
It explained why he knew and how to be able to act respectfully well while still holding pride yet humbleness in himself.
"He's like a sentient machine that's trying to be human." His every decision and action was precise, logical yet laced with randomness, she was slow to understand.
"Perhaps his magic had a hand in why he seems to be able to express himself despite his lack of emotion?" It's no secret that emotions are connected with one's magic.
The rhythm and flow of one's magic reflects the emotion of a person and she conclude that although he's physically emotionless.
His metaphysical side was not creating a paradox that enabled him to act and unknowingly feel his emotions purely by instinct and his unconscious thought.
However it's just a theory and Lucia isn't too sure whether that's true or not, it's a mystery she'll have to uncover someday.
"Hmm..." Her eyes gaze at the 3 mirrors gifted to her alongside a necklace with a wolf shaped gem hanging from it, it's dark blue color mixed with small white gleaming stars that's emulating the night sky.
"He really is a fool... a hopeless but smart fool." A smile adorned her face as she rubbed the gem which hold an intricate sequencing within.
A unique magicraft she requested from him out of a whim... never would she expect for him to create it within half an hour it left her speechless.
"A prodigy... an absurd one at that." Perhaps in exchange of his emotions, he was gifted with talent many would die to have.
She was tempted to try the necklace but remembered that she was still inside a vehicle and was only a few more minutes away from home.
"I'll just try it out later... I never expect for someone to understand our family's spacial equations and improve it so quickly." Lucia thought as she recalled the words spoken to him by her soon to be fiancee.
"Father will no doubt be pleased with this." He didn't mind the fact she'll reveal this to her parents, but then again both were to be engaged once she gets close enough to Mordred.
"You look quite happy Lucia?" Eleanor remarked noting her daughter's smile. "Did you enjoy our visit or had Mordred caught your interest?" She teased.
But her daughter's reaction caught the matriarch off guard. "H-He is great... too great, he-um... gifted me these." With a shy and bashful exterior she showed the mirrors and necklace.
"O-Oh? Well isn't that nice..." Eleanor tried to keep herself composed as she analyzed the gifts her daughter received.
The mirrors held complex coding and intricate sequencing that held spacial and gravitic attributes and the rest were foreign to her as it felt new.
