Milk' s House
Ling's pov
"Milk!!!!" I screamed at my friend, who turned to me. She saw the tears in my eyes. "Your tips didn't work! I thought she was the one my brother talked about, but she just called me her friend!" I hugged her and started to cry.
"It was that bad?" she asked. I looked at her with all the rage I had in my body. "Okay, sorry, I get it," she said, hugging me back.
"How the hell did you manage to find Love?" I asked. She shrugged and said she had no idea.
"I have the charm," she said, and I pulled away from her embrace.
"Yeah, hope it's working for you," I said, joking about her 'charm.'
Knock,knock,knock
"Can you open the door, please? Love is calling me," she said, slowly stepping away from the living room.
I walked to the door and opened it, only to be met with the biggest surprise of my life. Orm stood there in pajamas, her hair curled and looking breathtaking. Milk and I were heading to Love's place for a pajama party, so I guessed she must have been invited too. It was going to be a long night.
"Orm," I said, my voice barely a whisper after all the crying.
"LingLing Kwong?" she said, but her face quickly changed to a worried expression. "You're crying? Why? Did Milk hurt you?" she asked, cupping my cheeks and brushing my tears with her thumbs. Her presence wasn't helping; I couldn't stop crying.
Wait, why am I crying? I don't even like her; I was just trying to figure out who had a crush on me. This realization made me stop crying, finally.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. I'm just stressed," I said, gently taking her hands off my face.
"Dear loser friend, who is at the door?" Milk yelled from inside.
"Dear friend who will be buried tonight, please shut up!" I thought.
"Loser? What happened?" Orm asked, a mix of anger and confusion in her voice.
"It's Orm," I answered Milk, ignoring Orm.
"Shit," Milk mumbled, appearing behind me. "Hey, Orm. Love just told me Yoko got sick. I'll drive you two there; I just need a little more time," she said, opening the door wider so Orm could enter.
"No problem, Milk. I also have something to discuss with Ms. Kwong," she said. If someone killed me right now, I would be flattered. Her tone was sweet and cute, but the 'Ms. Kwong' revealed all the bitterness in her voice.
As she entered, Milk whispered so only I could hear, "Your last words?"
"No time for jokes. What should I do?" I asked, my voice low.
"Tell her the truth," Milk said.
"Really?" I asked, unsure if it was a good idea.
"It's better than lying forever," she said as she went back to the garage.
We were both seated on the couch in silence—just Orm and me in the living room. Her angry face stared at me, and my mind raced, trying to figure out how to tell her.
"So? Tell me what's happening, Kwong!" she demanded, her tone sharp with venom. She was at the top of scariest women in universe
"Stop calling me that! Kornnaphat," I said, but instantly regretted my words.
"Don't raise your voice at me! I'm just trying to help you! Why are you being so rude, ignoring me?! Why—" She was angry, but I couldn't hold back any longer. Before she could scold me more, I exploded.
"I lied about everything I said!" I rushed the words out, hoping she wouldn't fully understand what I'd said.
"What do you mean?" she asked, and this time, I swear I saw tears forming in her beautiful eyes.
"Orm, I lied about everything I told you today," I said, speaking more slowly and clearly this time.
