On the 12th hour of the first day of October...
Hey everyone, I'm evermorebooks. I've been writing for a while but this is my first wattpad book. I'm completely prepared for this to get zero reads but I will make this intro anyway. Please don't forget to vote, comment, and follow if you enjoy this story!! It's means so much to me and keeps me encouraged to keep writing :)
1. This book will have quite a few triggering subjects so if you aren't comfortable with that you obviously don't have to read it. I will put a warning before each chapter that might need one, so you don't stumble blindly upon one of the following: excessive profanity, descriptions of gore, physical and verbal @buse, r@pe, mental illnesses and possibly other subjects similar to those. Once again I'm sorry if any of those subjects are triggering, I just wanted to warn you beforehand. Also most of these are only in the first two chapters.
2. I will be making some adjustments to Five and the oc's age to make myself feel more comfortable writing this. They will be sixteen in this story instead of thirteen.
3. This is an OC story. You can totally imagine this as an (reader x Five) story if you want, but I will not be taking complaints about the specifics in the character. You can imagine it differently if you want, but please don't be rude or hate on this story because of that. The oc will also be using she/her pronouns, so once again, imagine it differently if you want, but no hate please.
4. This is a slow burn story. With four seasons, I'm not going to have them fall in love and get married within the first five chapters. It will be a nicely slow satisfying process that will keep you on your toes for the whole story.
5. I'll add some new scenes for the oc to give you the feeling that you're not just watching the show all over again. The oc will have her own unique scenes with each of the characters to let you have a new unique perspective of The Umbrella Academy.
6. Although we aren't there yet, when the time comes I will be changing the ending of season four, as well as spicing up the plot a little bit. But that's for later.
7. Victor. I will be including Victor's journey in this book series because it feels wrong not to, and to get anywhere in the future you must acknowledge the past.
8. And last but not least. I do not own The Umbrella Academy, the marvelous Gerard Way does. I only own my oc, Amity Carter and her plotline. The title of my book "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" is a song by the absolutely incredible, gorgeous, stunning, music industry, Taylor Swift. The chapters are all after lyrics in her song and she greatly inspired this story and a lot of the characters plotline, so credits to that glorious goddess as well.
