Emerald had spent the past three nights at Tory's house, debating whether to bring up the kissing incident with Robby to Sam. It was around 7:30 when Tory entered the room carrying groceries. Emerald was sitting with Tory's brother, who was deeply focused on a card game with her. When he exclaimed, "Uno out!" everyone erupted in laughter. "It's all good, I get it," Emerald said. "I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" Sensing that Emerald wanted to discuss the Larusso girl, Tory quickly thanked her and said goodbye, watching as she picked up her bag and left.

Emerald stepped through the front door of the Larusso residence, where she had been staying. Glancing up, she spotted Robby leaning against a table, munching on an apple and seemingly engrossed in something he was reading.
She made her way to the kitchen in search of Sam but couldn't find her anywhere. Frustrated, Emerald returned to the area where she had seen Robby. "Have you seen Sam?" she inquired. Robby looked up, taking a bite of his apple. "She's out with friends," he replied.
"Right," Emerald chuckled, turning to head to her room. Just as she was about to enter, she heard Robby call out, "Where have you been??"
"Helping a friend," she replied, stepping inside her room.

Emerald awoke to a lively conversation outside her bedroom door. Curious, she got up and approached the door, opening it just as Mr. and Mrs. LaRusso were about to knock.
