The sun hung high over the UA High School training ground, casting long shadows across the arena. Kageko Yamikaze stood at one end, her posture relaxed but her gaze sharp and calculating. Her long ash-purple hair flowed down her back, a stark contrast to her sleek, futuristic ninja-like costume. Across from her, Katsuki Bakugo cracked his knuckles, a wicked grin spreading across his face.

"This is gonna be fun," Bakugo sneered, his voice dripping with anticipation. "Let's see what you're made of, Yamikaze."

Kageko remained silent, her expression unreadable as she surveyed her opponent. The air was tense with expectation, each student around the perimeter watching intently. Aizawa had chosen this pairing for a reason, and everyone was eager to see how the mysterious newcomer would handle Bakugo's explosive temper.

With a roar, Bakugo launched himself forward, palms igniting with fiery explosions that propelled him across the field with blinding speed. Kageko reacted instantly, her shadows swirling up from the ground to meet him. The shadows formed a barrier, absorbing the impact of Bakugo's initial assault and shrouding Kageko in a veil of darkness.

Bakugo skidded to a halt, his eyes narrowing. "Hiding already? Come out and fight!"

Kageko's voice drifted from within the shadows, calm and steady. "You should know that shadows aren't just for hiding, Bakugo."

With a swift gesture, she conjured a dense smoke screen, enveloping the arena in an impenetrable mist. Bakugo halted, eyes darting as the smoke curled around him, obscuring his vision. Suddenly, a whisper echoed in his mind, soft yet chilling: "Never underestimate me."

He spun around, trying to pinpoint her location, but the smoke seemed to shift with him, hiding her presence. "Get out of my head!" he shouted, frustration mounting.

Kageko's laugh resonated through the telepathic link, a phantom sound in the swirling mist. As if on cue, the smoke dispersed, revealing an empty space where Kageko should have been. Bakugo's eyes widened, searching the field for any sign of her.

Then, like a specter, Kageko emerged silently from the remaining haze, her movements precise and stealthy. She closed in on Bakugo with her quick and silent advances, her form a blur as she approached. Her attack was swift and relentless, a flurry of strikes that Bakugo barely managed to counter.

Stay focused. Keep the pressure on him. He's fast, but you've trained for this.

Their battle intensified, Bakugo fighting to regain control against Kageko's elusive tactics. Each of her moves was a testament to her training, her shadowy form weaving around his explosive attacks with ease.

As the smoke cleared, Kageko shifted her stance, adopting a fighting style reminiscent of Aizawa's calculated precision and Shinso's strategic approach, hinting at who had trained her. Her movements were deliberate and fluid, each strike designed to probe Bakugo's defenses and exploit any openings.

Bakugo adjusted quickly, his reflexes honed by countless battles. He launched another explosive attack, aiming to overwhelm her with sheer power. Kageko evaded, her agility allowing her to stay just out of reach of his blasts, each maneuver a blend of instinct and training.

She's good. Too good. I've got to find a way to break through.

"Not bad," Bakugo admitted grudgingly, his eyes alight with the thrill of the challenge. "But I'm not done yet!"

With renewed vigor, Bakugo pressed the attack, his explosive bursts echoing across the arena. Kageko matched him move for move, her focus unwavering as she anticipated his strikes, reading his intent through the telepathic link and countering with her own.

The fight became a dance of power and skill, each of them pushing the other to their limits. Bakugo's ferocity was met with Kageko's calm determination, the clash of their abilities creating a spectacle that captivated their audience. Fists flew in the heat of battle.

As the battle reached its climax, Kageko saw an opening. With a swift, decisive motion, she sidestepped Bakugo's latest assault and closed the distance between them. In a move echoing Aizawa's efficient takedowns with his capture weapon, she swept his legs out from under him, sending him crashing to the ground.

Bakugo growled, trying to rise, but Kageko was already there, her presence looming over him as she pinned him down. A victorious smile played on her lips as she looked down at him, her eyes twinkling with a mix of triumph and mischief.

"Looks like I win this round," she said, her voice smooth and teasing, a smirk playing at her lips. "Better luck next time, Bakugo."

Bakugo scowled, angry daggers shooting through her with his eyes. "Tch, whatever. Don't get cocky. I let you win."

Kageko chuckled, releasing him and stepping back, her posture relaxed and confident. The fight had been a close call, but her victory was clear. As Bakugo stood, she offered him a playful wink. "Don't worry, I'll give you a rematch whenever you want."

As the dust settled and the adrenaline of the battle faded, Aizawa stepped forward, his expression as unreadable as ever. The class turned their attention to him, curious about his thoughts on the unexpected display of skill.

"All right, everyone, settle down," Aizawa began, his voice carrying authority. "I think it's time we discuss what just happened."

He looked at Kageko, then back at the rest of the class. "Some of you might be wondering where Miss Yamikaze's skills come from. I trained her alongside Shinso, focusing on stealth and strategic combat. That's why you saw her using techniques like sweeping and moving silently. It's not magic—it's hard work and training."

The students nodded, murmuring among themselves as they absorbed the information. Bakugo folded his arms, still scowling, but there was a hint of respect in his eyes.

Aizawa continued, "Now, just because I trained her doesn't mean she'll be favored. Yamikaze deserves a chance, like all of you, to prove herself based on her abilities and determination. She is strong, but strength isn't everything. What matters is how she uses it."

He turned his gaze to Bakugo, addressing him directly. "And yes, Bakugo, she was really in your head. Her telepathy is no joke. It's a powerful tool, but it requires control and responsibility. Like Shinso's Quirk, it's a reminder that mental abilities can be just as formidable as physical ones."

Bakugo grunted, acknowledging the point with a curt nod. The rest of the class listened intently, understanding the significance of Aizawa's words.

"Yamikaze still has a lot to learn, but so does everyone else," Aizawa said, his tone softening slightly. "I expect each of you to treat her as though she has been here since day one. She has the potential to be a great hero, and I trust you'll help her grow just as she will help you."

Aizawa stepped back, glancing at the students who were still buzzing with excitement. "All right, that's enough for today. Head back to the dorms and take some time to reflect on what you've seen. Think about how you can apply these lessons to your own training."
