Tw: mention of SA

Nick barely slept that night, but when he did wake up to daylight after only a few hours sleep he bolted out of bed and into the hallway.

Charlie's bedroom door was closed. The shoes he'd been wearing were on the shoe rack. Charlie was home and Nick felt a massive sense of relief. He was okay and when he woke up, they could talk.

He went into the kitchen and made himself a coffee because he was exhausted and slightly hung over. He still felt nervous about how Charlie would react to seeing him after last night but he couldn't help but smile.

Charlie was in love with him. They were in love with each other and they could finally be together. Nick could finally kiss him again, hold him properly and shower him with all the love he'd been dying to show him.

He showered, got dressed and pottered around the flat. He tidied, cleaned and reorganised the shelves in an attempt to keep himself busy while he waited for Charlie to wake up.

It was nearly eleven thirty and Nick was starting to feel a little worried again. Was Charlie actually okay? He had to go and check on him, he had let him sleep for long enough.

"Charlie?" He said softly and he gently knocked on his door but there was no response.

He slowly pushed the door open and as he did, Charlie turned to face away from him and covered his face with the duvet.

"Char, I was so worried." Nick said quietly, walking over to the bed and sitting down.

"Charlie, please talk to me." He said gently, attempting to slowly pull the duvet away from his face but Charlie gripped it tighter.

"Leave me alone." Charlie muttered.

"Is this about last night?"

"No."

"What's wrong Char?"

"Leave me alone."

"Charlie..."

"I said leave me alone!" Charlie shouted.

Nick pulled back in shock. Charlie had never shouted at him before. He was so confused and so worried but he left the room, closing the door behind him.

Nick: somethings wrong with Charlie

Tara: is he home?

Nick: yeah but he won't talk to me

Tara: did you tell him you feel the same?

Nick: no but he said it wasn't about the last and he shouted at me to leave him alone

Tara: oh Nicky... He will talk to you when he's ready. Just make sure he knows you're there for him.

Nick: yeah

Tara: I'll let everyone know, please keep us updated

Nick: okay

Day's passed and Charlie still wouldn't talk to Nick. He barely left his room apart from to go to the bathroom and when he did that he avoided Nick.

Nick made him food and left it outside his bedroom door, on the first day he left a note.

I'm here when you're ready to talk. I love you too xx

This wasn't exactly how he wanted to tell Charlie but he thought at least if Charlie knew he might feel more comfortable facing him. Thankfully the plate was gone when he checked back so at least Charlie was eating which was one less thing to worry about.
