Charlie

It was Saturday and finally the day the whole gang would be back together. Charlie was so excited to see everyone again.

Even though he missed Nick when he was at work, the time apart helped him to compose himself and not be so obvious when Nick was home.

He had tried a few times to talk to Nick about how he felt but had bottled it every time. He knew Nick was becoming suspicious so he made up the excuse he was just feeling unsettled which earned him a cuddle while they watched a film with Nick stroking his arm.

He had decided to go against Tori's advice and not talk to him about it. If Nick did feel the same way he was sure it would all come out eventually, especially now they lived together.

Nick

Nick leant against the doorframe of the bathroom and watched as Charlie applied cream to his face and methodically adjusted every curl.

"I'd forgotten how long you take to get ready." Nick teased.
"We aren't all as blessed in the looks department as you." Charlie laughed.
"Shut up." Nick chuckled and felt his face get hot.
"Awww, are you blushing?" Charlie teased, looking at him in the mirror.
"Shut up." Nick laughed, looking at the floor then back up at Charlie.
"Make me." Charlie said cheekily.

They both fell silent and looked at each other awkwardly as a tension built. Nick would like nothing more than to make Charlie shut up but he knew he was only messing around.

"Trust me Charlie, you don't want me to do that." Nick said flirtatiously but his voice shook slightly.
"Maybe I do..." Charlie said, turning to face him.
"What?" Nick said, his eyes going wide and his heart threatening to pound straight out of his chest.
"Sorry, must be the wine talking." Charlie said awkwardly, turning back to the mirror.
"I told you pre drinks was a bad idea." Nick laughed nervously.

As the week had gone on, Charlie had become more and more flirty with Nick but wasn't giving him any other signals apart from physical attraction.

He felt slightly worried about this party tonight because he knew Darcy would get everyone drunk and if they saw Charlie's very obvious flirting they'd make it her mission to make something happen between them.

In fact, he was almost certain something would happen tonight, or at least Charlie would try to initiate it. Or maybe he was just hoping he would. If he did, whether something happened or not depended entirely on how drunk Nick was.

The temptation was becoming almost impossible to resist, but was he prepared to deal with the awkwardness and how he would feel after?

Charlie

Charlie was forcefully pulled through the door by Darcy into the flat they shared with Tara.
"Charlie!" They shrieked, hugging him so tight it made him cough.
"Hi." He laughed and Tao, Elle, Tara and Isaac all came over to greet him excitedly with enthusiastic hugs.

"Am I invisible?" Nick laughed.
"Oh look, Nick's here too." Darcy teased sarcastically and Nick scrunched his face, smiling at them.
