As Jungkook lays on the bed, his mind drifts to the afternoon encounter with Jimin and the words that spilled from Jimin's lips. His ears ring with “future mate” words from Jimin's lips, causing his alpha to get excited. Jungkook doesn't understand why his wolf is getting excited for a fourteen-year-old boy.
"No, Jungkook. This is morally wrong. You can be his friend, but mate, never."
Jungkook shook his head, ignoring how sad his wolf had gone, but as a future king and man with morals, he knows it's wrong.
He closed his eyes but couldn't fall asleep, so he got up from the bed and walked out of the chamber. He needs some fresh air, so he decided to walk into the garden. There he spots his mother and father having some conversation.
"I think Sohee will be perfect for our son. They had been friends before, and she would be a good omega for him."
Beopheung said, and Jungkook stopped in his tracks. His wolf grimaced at the thought of calling Sohee as their omega. He doesn't want her at all. He had been her friend just because of his father's political relationship with her father.
He clenched his jaw as how can his father decide his future without confronting him? He wouldn't agree with his father's decision. He wants to have omega, but the one who he likes, and not by any arrangement.

"I don’t agree with you, Alpha. My son would have a mate of his liking and not by force. You had married two times before finding me. Did you find any happiness in those arranged marriages?"
Taehyung asked, looking at his mate, and Beopheung shook his head. His previous marriage was only for the benefit of the kingdom.
"I don't, my love. You know, I was forced by my father to marry them."
Beopheung said, and Taehyung sighed, taking his alpha hand in his.
"I don't want Jungkook to end up like you. Let him find his future mate without putting pressure on his shoulder. And don't make promises like your father had made with Yeonjun’s grandfather. I wouldn't be able to see my son and his future mate in pain like we had gone through."
Taehyung said, and Beopheung pulls his husband in a hug, agreeing with his omega.
