ALLY WEASLEY HAD TO place a pillow over her head, almost trying to suffocate herself and attempting to shield her eyes from the sun which landed perfectly just by her bed-- and to drown out the noise of a huffing and shuffling Ginny. Ginny Weasley had been restless since Harry's arrival. She seemed to be hitting the corners of a table more and more often, running into a door, and knocking over bowls and plates."Ginny, you're doing it again!" exclaimed the younger twin, pertaining to Ginny's whispers.
Ginny held down her diary, glancing at her twin who was sprawled on the bed, "Come to the kitchen with me, Ally," she begged. She had been patiently waiting for her twin to get up, but Ally was savoring the last moments of summer before they started at Hogwarts.
Out of temperance, Ginny left her own bed and made a stride towards her twin's. She pulled the covers and plopped on her back. Ally yelped with the sudden weight and pushed Ginny away. "All right, all right!"
Ally groaned, slowly sitting up and rubbing her eyes. Ginny's out of her nightgown, her face washed and her teeth brushed. She pulled her twin towards the kitchen with their arms linked. Their mum and dad already by the kitchen, whom greeted them a good morning. No sooner than later, Ron and Harry arrived which made Ginny knock her porridge bowl to the floor with a loud clatter. Ally stifled a laugh which Harry and Ginny tried to ignore.
Their Hogwarts letter arrived that morning. Mrs Weasley preened over the twins, smiling at the both of them as their eyes rapidly scanned their first Hogwarts letter with a cheeky smile. Molly tightened her grasp on the girls' shoulders and gave them both a kiss on the head before heading towards their brothers to check the list of required books.
"That lot won't come cheap," said George, with a quick look at his parents. "Lockhart's books are really expensive. . ."
"Well, we'll manage," said Mrs Weasley, but she looked worried. "I expect we'll be able to pick up a lot of the twins' things second-hand."
"Oh, are you starting at Hogwarts this year?" Harry asked Ginny.
She nodded, blushing to the roots of her flaming hair, and put her elbow in the butter dish. No one saw this except Harry and Ally, because just then, Percy walked in. His Hogwarts prefect badge pinned to his knitted tank top.
"Morning, all," said Percy briskly. "Lovely day."
Percy had sat on Errol, their owl. Ron took the limp owl and extracted a letter that had Hermione's answer.
"Well, that fits in nicely, we can go and get all your things then, too," said Mrs Weasley, starting to clear the table. "What're you all up to today?"
Ginny's eyes widened, alerting Ally to say something that they had planned days ago. Ally flicked her head back and forth towards her twin and then to her brothers. "They're going to play Quidditch and they won't let us join!" she exclaimed in a mumble.
Fred scoffed, "Tattle tale!"
Mrs Weasley tutted, though she didn't look bothered at all. "Let the twins take their turns, boys," she said nonchalantly, as if this was a rehearsed answer and a recurring event.
The twins trailed them as they made their way up the hill towards their paddock. But before they even reached the hill, Fred and George held up their palm on the twins' forehead, laughing boisterously at the other, watching their sisters' feeble attempts to escape. "Leave Quidditch to us boys," one of them said.
Harry, with his Nimbus Two Thousand over his shoulder, preened over Ron and whispered, "Why can't they join?"
Ron shook his head over the sight of the two pairs of twins, play fighting one another physically. Ally had just bit Fred's forearm, to which Ron winced and answered, "They don't got brooms, do they?"
