Simone and I stormed in the house after a very heated argument in the car.

"She's been at every single show Victoria and the way she looks at you every time doesn't sit right with me that's all I'm saying. I'm not accusing you of anything but the way you're getting defensive got me thinking some things." She said calmly as we stepped off the elevator.

"Do not accuse me of sleeping with her I don't even know keh- her I don't fuckin know her. She's just a fan so stop reading into it." I deflected.

Simone scoffed "This is not what I uprooted my fuckin life for Victoria. I came here for US not to be your doormat" She furrowed her eyebrows.

"You work for me remember? You wouldn't even be here in LA or have any of this photography shit going on if I hadn't asked you to come with me!" I screamed angrily as I slammed the door to our apartment behind me. Her long legs carried her across the room putting so much distance between us.

Simone whipped around and bounded over the wood vinyl flooring towering over me livid, nostrils flaring. I stared up into her angry brown eyes, something I never thought I'd experience.

"Wow the audacity of you to even say that shit to me right now. Good thing I won't be 'working for you' much longer though right? Who was the one out here making money when you was signed but couldn't release music and you wasn't selling hooks huh? I'm the one running your social media accounts, and doing your photoshoots, and promos and dealing with your schedule and your bullshit ass attitude. But this is the thanks I get?" She scoffed.

"You heard what the fuck I said." I doubled down even though I knew I was dead wrong. My mouth was reckless when I felt like I was being challenged. Again she nodded her head and backed off walking away with a roll of her eyes.

I threw my purse on the floor and grabbed her wrist yanking her back with all my might and annoyance. She groaned in pain at the action.

She looked at my hand tightly gripping her wrist and back at me as a warning her jaw tightening.

"Victoria" she took a deep breath and exhaled with her eyes closed. I cocked my head to the side and raised an eyebrow daring her to do something while maintaining that physical contact. In a quick motion she snatched her arm away from me, and grabbed me by my neck with her opposite hand. Even in her anger her hands were soft and delicate, careful not to choke me out, although she could if she wanted to and I wouldn't blame her. I was severely outta pocket and setting up a dangerous situation.

My adrenaline rushed. "Take yo lil ass in the room. I don't wanna see you right now." Her voice was low, seething, demanding. She released me and I complied.

I turned around to say something but she spoke before I did.

"I don't wanna hear another fuckin word right now. GO!" she gritted her teeth and pointed while rotating the wrist I had yanked. Shocked, I about faced and quietly made my way to the bedroom like a child on punishment, the cold vinyl feeling frozen under my small trudging feet.

I wasn't sure what was going to happen, I'm just grateful Simone didn't go upside my head. My heart beat nervously and my body was tremoring. I let out a shaky breath. She had never raised her voice at me before.

"Calm down Monét. You was definitely wrong." I tried to reassure myself.

It felt like forever that I was sitting frozen in place on the edge of the bed with my eyes cast in my lap wringing my hands. The sun was setting and the room was getting dark, I was unsure if I should flick the light on or not. When I looked up to make my decision Simone's body loomed in the door way watching me. Something about her gaze really excited me.
