"Mrs. Romano, meet me in my cabin in five minutes," the CEO of Verità Enterprises announced over the intercom.

"Hurry up, Mrs. Romano, or the CEO might punish you," Eliana teased her best friend with a playful smile.

"Yeah, yeah," Emilia replied, rolling her eyes as she made her way to the CEO's cabin.

She knocked on the door and heard a curt "Come in." Stepping inside, she noticed the man on a call, his black eyes scanning her like she was his prey. His jaw was tight, and his dark hair was tousled. Ending the call abruptly, he shot her a glare.

Emilia frowned at the sight of him. Glancing around, she spotted a stack of files. With a soft sigh, she walked toward him.

"What's bothering you, baby?" she asked, her thumb softly brushing his cheek as a gentle smile lingered on her lips.

He jerked her hand away and took a step back, deepening her frown.

"If it's about the files, we can go through them together," she suggested, moving closer to him.

He grabbed her waist and quickly reversed their positions, her body now pressed against the table as he placed his hands beside her. Leaning in close, he murmured in a husky tone, "What were you thinking, letting another man touch you, darling?"

His hands slipped under her skirt as he held her gaze.

"Cristian, it was just a hug," Emilia responded, biting her lip.

"I don't care if it was a hug or just a touch, Emilia. You're mine, and I won't tolerate anyone else laying a hand on what belongs to me," Cristian growled, his anger evident.

"I know, baby. I'm yours-completely," she whispered, pulling him into a hug. She gazed up at him with her blue eyes, the possessiveness in his eyes softening as he drowned in the calmness they brought, like the stillness of a quiet ocean.

But it was just the calm before the storm.

"Then why the hell did you let him touch you if you know you're mine?" Cristian demanded, his voice filled with fury.

Emilia took a deep breath. "Cristian, we've gone through this so many times. I'm out of patience," she said, attempting to push him away, but his solid frame didn't shift.

"Please," she begged, tears welling in her eyes.

He took a step back, and she looked toward the door.

"Head to the car and sit there like the good girl you are," Cristian said with a smirk. "We're going home, and you're going to learn a lesson, darling." Emilia wanted to argue, but his dominant voice quickly pulled her into subspace.

"Y-yes, master," she said, taking the keys from him and heading straight to the car.

"Good girl," he murmured as she walked away. He handed his work to his best friend and headed to the parking lot, his shirt and blazer draped over his arm, with the top two buttons of his shirt undone, exposing his well-defined chest.

He opened the car door and tossed his blazer inside.

"So, you can show off your body to everyone, but I can't even hug a friend?" Emilia scoffed as Cristian buckled his seatbelt.

"You know it's not the same thing," Cristian shot back, glaring at her.

"Well, if that's the case, I'll start dressing however I want too," Emilia said nonchalantly.
