"L-look coldie, it's not funny," Cressa stammered and tried pushing him away.
"Baby," he called so softly that she froze and glanced at him with wide eyes.
He pulled her away from the wall, and she wrapped her arms around his neck. With one hand gripping her bum and the other around her waist, he carried her to the couch. Sitting down, he positioned her to straddle him.
"Sweetheart, can you hear me out?" he asked, gently tucking her hair behind her ears. She nodded, and he smiled softly at her, making her heart do crazy flips. In their three months of marriage, she had never seen him smile at her like this before.
He took a deep breath and began, "I know I've been a cold asshole, sweetheart, and I haven't shown you the affection you deserve or spoken to you with the softness you crave. There's no excuse for that. But the truth is, it took me some time to break out of my shell. Changing who I am hasn't been easy, but somehow, you, my darling, have this magic that's slowly worked its way into my heart. Your adorable little talks, the way you care for me, the sweet kisses you give me when you think I'm asleep, and how you snuggle closer and whisper 'I love you'-all of it has melted me, little by little. I've been wanting to tell you how I feel, but I didn't know how. Now, I think I'm ready."
"D-dont mess with me Theon," she said with teary eyes scared that he was messing around with her. He knew she was serious and scared as she rarely called him by his name.
He cupped her nape and gently brought her face closer, pressing their foreheads together.
"Cressa Wilder," he said with a chuckle, "I couldn't have found anyone more beautiful, compassionate, fierce, and just a little bit of a baby." She playfully whined and tapped his biceps.
"I love you so much, my sweet babywife. Will you give this coldie of yours a chance to show you just how much he loves you?" he asked. Tears streamed down her face as she nodded, letting out a heartful sob and hugging him tightly.
He chuckled with teary eyes, gently rubbing her back to soothe her.
"Don't cry, sweetheart. I can't bear to see those precious tears of yours," he said, whispering sweet nothings until she started to calm down, while he tried to steady his own emotions.
"You're such a meanie," she said with an upset pout. "I've been loving you for so long, and it took you forever to confess. Not to mention how much you teased and messed with me." She wiped his tears away and mumbled, "Don't cry, you look ugly." He laughed, shaking his head at her playful antics.
"I'm sorry my love, i promise I won't do that again," he said and smooched her cheeks.
"I love you," he said, his eyes tender and his hands gently caressing her cheeks. Just a single touch could make you feel every emotion ever, maybe that's what love is!
"I love you too," she replied, playfully pecking his nose. "I love you so much," she murmured, covering his cheeks, forehead, chin, eyes, and moles with kisses. She stopped at his lips, their breaths mingling softly, their hearts beating in sync.
They looked at each other's eyes and didn't waste a second before pressing their lips against each other, the kiss was soft, her cherry ones against his, she tilted her face to give him more access, she held his hair and he had a firm grip on her waist still not letting go of her lips.
He lifted her gently and adjusted her in his arms as he walked toward their bedroom. Her eyes were closed, savoring the warmth of his honeyed delight.
He gently laid her down on the bed and pulled back, leaning on the bed as he stood beside it. Both were breathing heavily, her lipstick smudged across his face.
