The Silence

I've never heard a silence so loud it's deafening

The music on my airpods can't seem to drown it out

The wind is calm, no sound from outside, and yet

The silence drives me crazy, like a high pitched violin playing on blast

The silence raptures my eardrums, I can feel the blood gushing out of both

The clear coughs pouring out with red as I try to breathe

This silence so loud that even the chaos that rules my mind is quiet

I feel myself, I hear my self, everything is at a standstill but moving so fast

My heart beat matches the rush of the violin, a chill in my bones as my body fails to respond to what usually calms it

Thump thump, the music silenced by the noise of nothingness

The silence drowns me
