The sports festival sure was eventful this year. I found out one of my classmates hate because I'm the daughter of All Might, the same classmate almost killed somebody at the start of the obstacle course, I lost to Todoroki, I instantly became a target during the Cavalry Battle, and don't get me started on the tournament. Katsuki had to be restrained in the end because he kept raging out after receiving his medal.
I slowly opened the door to the room that Katsuki should be in and entered. There he is. He is still in his restraints while sitting in a chair. I closed the door behind me and walked up to him. I thought he was sulking quietly once he cooled off, but I got a closer look at him and found out that he's actually dozed off. Must be thanks to Miss Midnight's Somnabulist Quirk. I'll go back to the classroom after I remove his restraints.
As I started removing the restraints, Katsuki woke up and violently kicked the table in front of him. The table crashed into the other chairs and table that were close to it.
"Hey, watch it!" I reprimanded the bound hothead. "Are you trying to give me the same injuries as Izuku!?"
Katsuki immediately calmed down when he realized it's just me. He still has on those restraints on his hands, and his mouth is still covered up.
"Glad to see you're awake, at least. It couldn't have been comfortable, so I was taking those restraints off for you." I let out a sigh. "Look, I... I understand why you're so upset about receiving that medal. You, including every other student in this school, have been giving it their all in the sports festival, but Todoroki let his own issues with his asshole of a father cloud his judgement and hold himself back. It's pure arrogance of him to think that he could become one of the world's greatest heroes by only using half of his strength. The fact that he used his full power during his fight with Izuku and not in his other matches makes it more infuriating. Ever since he made that declaration of war on me and Izuku, I've been holding back the urge to punch him. I got a chance to punch him during the obstacle course, but that still wasn't enough for me. I feel sorry for him for having Endeavor as a father, but that doesn't give him the right to see me as an enemy just because I'm the daughter of the man his father is obsessed with." I stopped meddling with the restraints as I recalled Todoroki's words before and during the sports festival. And the worst part is that he thinks I got here thanks to my dad. Heh. Can you believe that? It was like he saw me as this easy, carefree girl who doesn't deserve to be at UA. I've been sheltered for most of my life until I met you and Izuku, Lumine died protecting me, and I barely saw , nor contacted my dad after mom and I moved. He has no right to--" I stopped when I realized I've been ranting about my own issues. The strangest thing is that Katsuki hasn't done anything to make me stop. "Sorry, I went off topic and started rambling about my own problems with Todoroki. The bottom line is... if I was in your shoes, I would be frustrated, too. So, are you going to let me take the rest of those restraints, or are you going to try to strike me with a chair next?"
Katsuki, looking calmer than several seconds earlier, lifted his contained hands over his head. I guess that means he wants me to take that muzzle off him next. I went ahead and took off the thing that was covering his mouth. As soon as I did that, Katsuki put his arms back down and traps me. This instantly makes me drop the metal mouth cover, and before I can react, he kisses me. The sudden kiss caught me off guard, so I didn't kiss back right away. I pulled away to say something, but then he kissed me again with his tongue entering my mouth. My eyes widened at the new sensation. I've never done anything like this before, so I just let instincts take over. I shuddered as I felt his tongue on mine and closed my eyes, placing my hands on his shoulders while I finally kissed him back. I have no idea why my boyfriend is so good at this, but I let him take the lead. His tongue tangled with mine, he explored my mouth as much as he could, and he sucked on my tongue. My legs felt like they're about to give out, so I sat on his lap. We eventually had to separate for air. I rested my head on Katsuki's shoulder, panting for air with him after our steamy make-out session.
"You're right..." I got goosebumps as I felt Katsuki's hot breath on my skin as we spoke. "That icy hot bastard had no right to say that crap to you. All that talk about him being stronger than you is a load of bullshit. He didn't even grab the ten million point headband. Unlike you."
That last sentence made me smile. Katsuki started to leave kisses on my shoulder, then my collarbone, and then up my neck.
"K-Katsuki..." I stuttered as he sucked on my neck. "I-I... I have to get rid of Y-your restraints. We need to get to class."
"Fine." He stops sucking my neck. "Hurry up and get these cuffs off me."
I got myself out of Katsuki's arms and moved on to removing the large cuffs. I was still flustered from that completely different kiss (I've never dated anyone else other than Katsuki, so I don't know what to call that kiss) and Katsuki kissing my neck like that. It also didn't help that my boyfriend was staring at me the whole time. After I freed him from those cuffs, he took the gold medal from around his neck and attempted to use his Quirk on it. Surprisingly, it survived the attack without a scratch. He tried to destroy it several more times with his Explosion Quirk, and the medal still remained undamaged.
"Wow, that medal is actually made of high-quality material." I gaped at the trinket in Katsuki's hands. "I mean, the ribbon is now in a sorry state, but still. I thought these things were supposed to be made of plastic or something, but I'm impressed by how well this was made. I shouldn't have thought of anything less from UA."
"Tch." Katsuki shoves the medal in his pocket and scowled. "I'm gonna throw this damn thing in the fuckin' ocean!'
'Don't." I grabbed Katsuki by the shoulder, stopping him from leaving the room.
"Huh!?" Katsuki turned back around to face me.
"That medal is important. Everyone- well, everyone except Todoroki, fought hard trying to win the sports festival. So, don't just throw it away like it's a consolation prize."
"I don't--"
"I know!" I cut Katsuki off. "You don't care about everyone else who took part in the sports festival, and you absolutely hate the sight of this thing, but... I think you should hold on to it. Katsuki, you don't have to agree with being named champion. Instead, you should see it as a reminder to keep working harder than anyone else like you always do, and use your actions not that piece of metal, to show everyone that you have the drive and capability to make it to the top for real! That's the Katsuki Bakugou who encourages me to become greater. The one who never saw me as a weak girl and believes that I can become a hero as great as my parents!"
Katsuki takes the gold medal out of his pocket and stares at it.
".....When I make it to the top..." Katsuki hangs the 1st place gold medal around my neck with my 3rd place bronze medal. "Why don't you hold on to this instead."
I stared at Katsuki with wide eyes, then at the silver and gold medals, and then back at Katsuki. I did this repeatedly for a few seconds.
"Also, I'm sorry for kicking the table while you were trying to get those restraints off me. Let's go to class already." Katsuki exited the room.
"Uh, w-wait! Hold on a minute, Katsuki." I followed Katsuki.
I thought I understood Katsuki's feelings and the meaning behind his actions, but I actually didn't fully understand them. I didn't know the real reason why he chose to give me the medal and I didn't know why he saved me from that Sludge Villain and didn't tell anybody the whole story. Well, I did find out his reasons after we moved into the Heights Alliance Dormitory at UA.
Bonus:
Before entering the classroom, Ashido gave me a compact mirror and told me to look at my neck.
"What the hell are these!?" I exclaimed as soon as I saw the bruise-like marks on my neck through the mirror. "How the hell did I get them!?"
"Yeah, those are called hickies, hon." Ashido answered with a smirk.
"And it's obvious that Bakugou is the one who put them there." Sero added.
And that is the day I learned about hickies and French kissing.
