Protect (Derek Hale) [ON HOLD]

Chapter 3

After we heard howling we waited for Scott to find Allisons jacket. I was leaning against the tree when I heard a car being dented.

Oh no. I looked at Derek and I could tell that he was angry. I moved closer to him and I grabbed his hand and said "I can fix the car don't worry."

Derek looked at me and said "Aren't guys supposed to fix cars, not girls?" he said whispering quietly while chuckling.

I chuckled a little bit as well.
I said "I'm not like most girls now am I? And in order to fix your car you need tools. I have magic on my side, Der."

He kissed my forehead and hugged me whispering "I love you so much, you know that right?"

Before I could answer him I heard a growl... Scott.

"Where is she?" Scott asked as his face was an Werewolf mode.

"She's safe. From you." Derek said as he let go of me.

Derek than appears in front of Scott. Derek pushes Scott and they both rolled down the hill. I roll my eyes and move closer to them to help Derek with the newly transformed beta. Derek then pushed Scott against a tree, telling him to be quiet. I smelled wolvesbane and I heard footsteps. Hunters.

"It's too late.They're already here. RUN!!!" Derek said to Scott.

Derek and I run while Scott is trying to follow us. I hear a crossbow fire and then a scream from Scott. I look at Derek and then I ran, using my vampire speed on one of the hunters on the left. I grab his shoulders and lifted him up,throwing him into a tree. Derek takes care of the one on the right. Derek then pulls the arrow out of Scott's arm and we ran.

We made it to a safe distance and I check over Scott's arm. He looks at me with confusion as I did.

"Your arm is fine. It healed, but it will hurt for a little while. Make sure when you go to lacrosse practice have nothing hit it or else it will start hurting again. It's still need some time to heal, internally. " I said smiling at him and take a step back.

Scott still looks at me with some confusion.

"What are you?" Scott asks me.

"What?" I said and furrow my eyebrows together.

"What are you? You smell weird. You smell like Derek and also something else. What are you?" Scott asked me.

I look at Derek and I connect our minds together using telepathy.

"You can tell him if you want, Kat." Then he said with a smirk, "But that would mean your mysterious ways would be over but whatever you choose, I'll go with it." Der said

"You know my mysterious ways are never over." I told him with a smirk.

I turn back to Scott with a smile.

"Well, I see we haven't been formally introduced. My name is Katherine Johnson. Your nose is correct BTW. I am a werewolf, but I'm also two other things as well."

Scott looks at me with more confusion in his face.

"I am a Hybrid Witch. The only Hybrid Witch in existence. I am a vampire, werewolf, and a witch. I've been this way for more than 3,000 years."

As I say this Scott backs away with wide eyes and I could smell fear coming from him, he then looks at Derek-who nods his head-telling Scott it's all true.

"Don't be afraid Scott, I won't hurt you or anyone in this town. I promise you."

I put my hand out for him shake. He looks at my hand then he looks in my eyes. They were filled with understanding, but with a hint of fear. He steps forward and took a hold of my hand, shaking it. He then smiles at me, and I smile back. He then releases my hand.

"Do you have any questions for us Scott?" I ask him

"What were they?" He asks us

"Hunters, kind that have been hunting us for centuries." Derek replied

"Us. No, you, one of you did this to me!!" Scott exclaims

"Scott...."

Before I could answer him Derek interrupted me.

"Is it really that bad Scott? That you can see better, hear more clearly, move faster than any human can hope. You've been given something most people would kill for. The Bite is a gift."

"I don't want it." Scott saids between his teeth.

"You will. And your going to need us in order to control it. So you and me Scott, we're brothers now, you and her"- Derek points at me- " you're brother and sister now."

After he saids that, he left Scott's side and looks at me. "You know what to do. I'll meet you at the house."

I nod my head and move over to Scott.

"Hold on to me, ok?" I say

He nods and puts his arm around my waist, as I put my arm around his. I teleport the front door of his house. I can't get inside his house without an invitation.

"Do you think you can make it inside to your room?" I ask

"Can't you use your magic and beam us in my room?" He ask tiredly

"Did you just say beam, like in Star Trek?" I ask with humor in my voice.

"Ya well, I don't know what to call it. Can you take me to my room?"

"I have to be invited in, I'm part vampire, I can't enter your house."

"Oh, I think I can make it from here. Thank you, Katherine."

He moves away from me and opens the door to his house, he looks back at me, smiles and waves "bye."

I smile and wave back, then I turn around and teleport to the Hale House.

I was in the living room sitting on the couch, thinking about Scott, Derek, the Alpha, everything really. I get pulled out of my thoughts when I heard footsteps walking down the stairs.

"Hey, you coming to bed soon, Kat?"

I look up and I see Derek in a black T-shirt, and sweats.

"Ya I'm coming."

I get off the couch and move toward Derek. I get a few steps ahead of him and I turn back.

"Ya coming Der?" I said teasing.

Derek smirks and moves closer to me, grabbing my waist, lifting me up bride style. I laugh and put my arm around his neck.

"I love you, Katherine." Derek saids to me.

"I love you too, Derek. I just love you 5% more than you do me." I say laughing.

"Oh really?" Derek says chuckling while walking up the stairs, still carrying me.

"Yep." I say popping the p.

Derek takes me to our room and sets me down on the bed. He moves closer to me and kisses me with passion, caring ness, and lust.

He pulls back and saids, "Good night, Kitty Kat."

I smile and say, "Good night Der Bear."

He puts his arms around my waist and kisses my forehead. I put my head on his chest and I close my eyes, letting my mind wander and dream.
