1.9 | ❝I'm sorry.❞
ELYSIAN LEANED ON his elbow and discreetly narrowed his eyes in the direction of Granger. His lips curling into a frown as he observed the muggle-born girl.
At that point Elysian didn't know if he was attempting to admire her or be critical of some worthless flaw detectable on her.
Truth was Elysian had been spending the whole day trying to get an excuse to talk to her. He was a confused teenage boy that was trying to navigate through school and discoveries of his family's past. House Black having skeletons in the closet was not surprising in any sense, but the extent it went to made Elysian's blood boil to the point of evaporation. His uncle, abused to the point of insanity and turned to be murdering traitor. His father, his father saw how bad things could get, he saw his own brother tortured and damaged in front of his very eyes: eventually adopting the godforsaken pureblood ideologies. And his mother, driven insane by the loss of his father and set him up with a life-time of trauma and massive pit of hatred that burned like a wildfire consuming an entire fucking forest.
Elysian didn't want to end up like them. He didn't want to turn into another victim of a ridiculous belief of some foolish extremists that thought of themselves as something greater than their own reality. Elysian wanted to live a life that wasn't tainted in misery, he wanted to move out of this prison of sorrow, break the chain of death, loss and grief.
