"charles?" leilani called out, walking into her boyfriends apartment. "in here." charles replied, sitting on his couch.
leilani walked into his living room, sitting down on the couch. charles had asked her over so they could talk.
"so, i've been thinking.." charles started, turning to look at the girl. "i love you, i do, but i don't think i love you in a romantic way. i've enjoyed our time together, we made some great memories. i care about you and i want you to be happy, even if it isn't with me. i still want us to be friends."
"oh, thank god." leilani sighed, her body relaxing as she got comfortable on his couch. "i was thinking the same thing. i think we're more best friends than lovers."
"agreed." charles chuckled, smiling at leilani. "i'm glad we agree. plus, i can still tell that you like max."
"what? no...." the girl denied, tucking a piece of stray hair behind her ear. "lei, come on." charles said, giving the girl a pointed look.
"okay, fine. i do." leilani sighed, rolling her eyes at the man.
the pair sat on his couch, talking about leilani's feelings for max for a couple hours.
