The warm water cascaded over your body as you stood in the shower, your mind drifting to the myriad of preparations you and Sentinel Prime had made for the arrival of your child. At seven months pregnant, your body was now a testament to the life growing inside you. You had spent countless hours buying and setting up everything a newborn would need, from a beautifully crafted baby cradle to a baby blue blanket adorned with blue hippos. The nursery was nearly complete, a sanctuary of comfort and love for the new addition to your family.
Sentinel Prime had made the monumental decision to leave Cybertron, passing the mantle of leadership to Optimus Prime so that he could be with you and your child on Earth. It was a choice that spoke volumes about his commitment and love. Together, you navigated the ups and downs of pregnancy, with Sentinel providing ice cream with pickles to satisfy your cravings and giving you space during your mood swings. The pregnancy was particularly challenging given the unique nature of your unborn child, half-human and half-Cybertronian. Both of you often wondered what the baby would look like and whether they would be healthy. The biggest question was: would it be a boy or a girl?
One visit to Ratchet had answered at least part of that mystery. Sentinel had taken you to see him, and after a careful scan of your womb, Ratchet had confirmed that you were carrying a baby boy. The news had brought a wave of excitement, and the Autobots had been enthusiastic in suggesting names for the little one. Throughout it all, Sentinel had been incredibly protective, ensuring your every need was met and constantly watching over you.
As you stepped out of the shower, you wrapped yourself in a soft towel and looked in the mirror. The reflection showed a glowing mother-to-be, but you couldn't help but ask, "Sentinel, do I look fat?"
Sentinel, who had been waiting nearby, turned his attention to you immediately. "You look gorgeous, Y/N," he said, his optics shining with sincerity. "Absolutely radiant."
You smiled, feeling reassured by his words. Sentinel approached, gently placing a hand on your rounded belly. His eyes softened as he began to speak to your unborn son. "Hey there, little guy," he said, his voice filled with affection. "Your daddy's here. Can't wait to meet you. You're going to have the best parents ever, and we're going to take such good care of you."
His words were playful yet tender, and you could feel the love and excitement radiating from him. Sentinel continued to rub your belly, his touch gentle and comforting. "You're going to be strong and brave, just like your mom," he said with a wink at you. "And maybe a bit like me too."
You laughed softly, placing your hand over his. "He's going to be perfect," you said, your voice full of conviction.
Sentinel nodded, his expression serious yet filled with hope. "We'll make sure of it."
As you stood there together, you felt a profound sense of peace and anticipation. The future held many unknowns, but with Sentinel by your side, you knew you could face anything. Your baby boy was already so loved, and you couldn't wait to welcome him into the world.
