Third person POV :

The morning sun slanted through the blinds, casting long shadows across the floor. Romeo lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling, listening to the distant hum of his parents talking downstairs. Today was supposed to be just another Monday—wake up, go to school, survive another day—but something felt different.

There was a heaviness in the air, a sense that the world was tilting slightly off it's axis.

His phone buzzed on the nightstand, the screen lighting up with a name that made his stomach churn :  "Tyler"

He hesitated, his hand hovering over the phone. He knew what this text meant. Tyler only messaged him when he have something on his mind, something that usually ended with a rush of adrenaline and a knot of guilt tightening in Romeo's chest.

He can already hear Tyler's voice, smooth and persuasive : "Cmon, man, It'll be fun. What's the worst that could happen?"

He swiped his thumb across the screen, and read the message : "Got a plan. Meet me at the usual spot after school. Don't bail on me."

Romeo's heart pounded in his chest. He knew he should've ignored it, thrown his phone across the room, tell Tyler, he was tired of this shit.

But he didn't

Instead he typed back, "I'm in"

And just like that, the day he would later wish he could erase has begun
