The wind passed between Mylene's hair as he flew around the top of Onigashima's head. The day he had been pretty boring. Yamato was busy hiding right now, and he had just finished his studies. He didn't hear anything from the beastmen who usually chattered around him, ignoring his presence.

Maybe it was a wrong move to throw that beastman out. He usually listened to what they said when Yamato and King were busy with other stuff. He did think that the pseudonym they gave him was long, also did they only add "white" to his name because of his hair? He was proactive if you asked him.

And maybe it was because he wanted a similar name to that of his dad and mom. Like "King the Wildfire" or "Sweet Commander." You would think that they would come up with a name similar to those of his parents.

A hoot brought Mylene out of his thoughts, and he turned to see Fell flying beside him.

"Are you getting tired, Fell?" The little owl responded with another hoot. Mylene smiled as he extended a hand to Fell. "Come here, I'll carry you down."

With a flap of his wings, he redirected his trajectory down to the eyes of Onigashima. As he was flying, he heard the familiar ring of the transponder snail. He quickly took it out and landed on a nearby window, giving a little shock to the beastmen that were stationed there.

"Mylene, where are you right now?" King asked.

"A few halls away from my room," Mylene replied, walking through the halls while Fell perched on his shoulder.

"Come to your room quickly, I need to have a talk with you."

Mylene's eyes widened at this. "Is there something wrong? Did I do something wrong? I know I threw him out the window, but—"

"No, you didn't do anything wrong. However, we do need to have a talk with your mom regarding that. But what we are about to discuss is a different matter regarding your mom."

Mylene pursed his lips in worry. "Did something bad happen to Mom?"

"Unlikely. I'm sure he would be able to handle it fine. He's not a billion-berry pirate for nothing, Mylene." King paused. "We will continue this conversation in your room."

Mylene frowned at the sudden disconnection. He looked at his shoulder to find Fell missing. Confused, he looked around only to see Fell circling two beastmen who were trying to shoo him away quietly.

"Fell, let's go."

The little owl quickly joined his side, once again perching on top of his head.

"What's up with you circling other people?" he asked the owl, amused at his habits. Fell responded with another hoot, and Mylene chuckled. "You cheeky owl."

When he finally reached his room by speed walking, he opened his door to see King sitting near his bed with the stool he used every night to tell him stories about those fascinating stars and planets. What puzzled him was that his dad had his mask off.

King gestured for Mylene to sit down. Mylene looked at King, closed the door behind him, and locked it before going to his bed to sit in front of King.

"So what happened, Dad?" Mylene asked again when he sat down on his bed, looking at his father's face.

King stayed quiet for a moment before speaking, seemingly bracing himself for something. "Måįe, you will have to stay here in Onigashima next week. Your mom won't be able to pick you up."

Confusion was first present on Mylene's face, then shock slowly took over, and the next thing you know, disbelief. "What? Why?" Mylene stood up, his outburst making King look away for a moment.
