Neha's POV:

The sun was beginning to dip low on the horizon, casting a golden hue over everything as we left the restaurant. The afternoon had been warm and pleasant, the kind of day that makes you want to linger outdoors, basking in the sunlight. But as much as I enjoyed the leisurely lunch, I knew that something more was waiting for us as we headed to the car. There was an unspoken understanding between Vikram and Dev-something that had simmered beneath the surface all day. I could feel it in the way their eyes met, in the way they moved with a quiet intensity, like predators honing in on their prey. And in that moment, I was the prey.

We walked to the car in a companionable silence, the only sounds the occasional rustle of leaves and the distant hum of traffic. My heart began to beat faster, a familiar thrill coursing through me. Vikram and Dev had a way of making the world feel smaller, as though it existed only for us. They were my gravity, pulling me in with their presence, their charisma, and the dangerous allure that always seemed to linger around them.

Vikram reached the car first, as he always did, his long strides carrying him effortlessly across the pavement. He moved with a confidence that was impossible to ignore-like he owned the world and everything in it. His hazel eyes, sharp and perceptive, softened slightly as he turned to me, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"After you, Moon," he said, his voice a low, rumbling invitation that sent a shiver down my spine.

I returned his smile, feeling the warmth of his gaze as I slid into the backseat. As always, Vikram had me sit in the center, between him and Dev. It was where I felt safest, surrounded by them, their presence a protective shield against the outside world. But there was something more to it, something that had become a constant in our relationship-a need for them to be close, to keep me within arm's reach, as though the mere thought of distance was unbearable.

Dev followed behind me, his tall frame filling the space beside me. Where Vikram was sharp angles and intense focus, Dev was all smooth confidence and effortless charm. His brown eyes, warm and inviting, met mine as he settled in, and I felt a flutter in my chest. They were so different, yet so alike, and they both had a way of making me feel like the most important person in the world.

The car was a sleek, luxurious model-one of those vehicles that cost more than most people would ever make in their lifetime. It was comfortable, with plush leather seats. But more than that, it was our private sanctuary, a place where we could retreat from the world and lose ourselves in each other.

As soon as we were all seated, Vikram reached for the privacy cover. It was a small, discreet panel that could be pulled up between the front and back seats, blocking the driver's view of us. It was one of those little luxuries that came with the kind of wealth they possessed-the ability to shut out the world with a simple flick of the wrist.

As Vikram pulled the cover into place, his hand brushed against my thigh, sending a jolt of electricity through me. It was a simple touch, almost casual, but the effect it had on me was anything but. My breath caught in my throat, and I felt a familiar warmth begin to spread through my body.

"Comfy, Moon?" Vikram murmured, his voice low and smooth, the nickname he had given me dripping with affection and something darker, something that always made my heart race.
