Chapter 7: The Drug

"Get up!"

A voice demanded from beyond the door. I was still rather groggy and dazed from suddenly being taken out my slumber.

I slowly opened my eyes, being greeted by the same espeon that i fell asleep with last night. 'Seems like it will take a bit longer for her to wake up, I guess?'

Getting up out of bed, I held my forhead, stabling my vision, so it wasn't all wonky, I walked over, twisting the nob of the door, then proceeding to walk towards the main gym, seeing Teacher sitting in is favourite chair next to the table taking the last bite of the cookies we got from Mis Viola only 4 days ago.

"So, what do you want me for?" I ask, still wiping the tiredness out my wyes "well since we have Espeon in our care, i was thinking of going out into the market? " he said, his voice smooth and not raspy, "but.. that's dangerous, " I said, a bit worried.

"Don't worry, child, he shouldn't be there.. but. Even if he is, you should be able to protect yourself." he said, throwing a black cloak it was tattered at its edges, but still usable.

'This is that same cloak..'

I snapped that thought away from my mind and looked back towards the teacher, "What about you?" I said, wondering if he was going to wear something to hide himself, "don't worry, child, I'll be fine. They are not looking for me, unlike you." He said, hoisting a large satchel around one of his scales that ran down from his thigh.

"Sir, are you sure that leaving her here is the best idea?" I questioned.

"Don't worry, my child.. she isn't waking up enytime soon, " he said, resting his claws on my shoulder, walking past me towards the door, "Teach, just one second, I need to go grab something!" I called out. "Don't be too long," he said, looking over his shoulder waiting for me.

I quickly bolted off towards my bedroom, opening the door I padded over the dresser, opening the dresser. I grabbed my explores bag, which wraps around my waist. It held important resources if I got into any confrontations.

Resources such as 'ZR-10', an injection drug that injects adrenaline or 'Rage' into the body, enhancing your durability and overall strength. But it does come at a cost.. the possibility of addiction.

'ZR-10' or more formally known as 'ZetaRage-M10' is a fairly recent drug that was discovered only 7 years ago, getting you're hands on it is hard especially without getting caught, even having this drug in possession is Considered a death penalty it's that much of a problem.

Wrapping the bag around my waist, tightening it, I grabbed my goggles, which had a green tint, letting them rest around my neck. Turning toward the door, my eyes fell upon the espeon, who was sleeping in the bed. She had meny scars on her body and damage that seemed almost unrepairable. i dont know if she will actually survive.. turning back toward the door, I walked out, making sure not to lock the door just in case she does wake up off off chance.

Exiting from the hall, I saw teach, still waiting for me at the door. "It seems like you, remember. I'm very impressed!," he said, patting me on the head, then proceeding to unlock the front door, beckoning for me to exit first while he relocks the door.

"So, are we going to the food market or the other market?" I asked, following Teacher with my eyes as he walked off, only following closely behind him.

"The food market, my child." he said, not keeping a firm gaze onward. "Ok, well, are we going to see Mis Viola?" I ask. "If you want to?, then we can go drop by and say hello." Teacher said, walking onwards a semi smile on his face.
