"I think Morgan forgot to mention that this alien is kind of a wizard, too!" Peter said over the comms, leaping over a billboard that was sailing through the air. He managed a brief glance in Tony's direction, only to see him still struggling to fend off the giant alien with the huge, mace-like weapon.

Morgan had flown off with Loki somewhere, and although Tony was very against the idea of her staying with the stone, having her there with the suit meant that he could receive a distress call in a matter of seconds and go help.

But for now, he and Peter were stuck in a seemingly neverending battle with the two aliens.

The alien that Tony had dubbed "Squidward" was getting more and more agitated with Peter, and the ensuing attacks progressively became increasingly violent. He went from tossing billboards and street lamps to spraying spikes and bricks and other smaller objects that were incredibly difficult to dodge.

"Any sign of the wizard, kid?" Tony asked.

Peter shook his head, even though he knew Tony couldn't see the motion. "No, nothing yet. Do you think...?"

"I'm sure he's fine. He'd have to be pretty good at what he does to be entrusted with an infinity stone." But Tony's reassurances did nothing to ease Peter's nerves. Squidward was being difficult as it was, and that was without Peter having to deal with the larger alien at the same time. He didn't think it would be very hard for the two combined to overpower one man, even if that man could use magic.

The fight dragged on, but neither side managed to gain much advantage over the other.

"Dad?" Morgan's voice caught Peter off guard. He wasn't used to her having access to the comms.

"Morgan, are you alright?" Tony asked, his voice strained as he narrowly dodged a car soaring through the air, aimed straight for his head.

"Yeah. We're back at the Sanctum, but..."

"But what?"

"The wizard guy, Strange Doctor or whatever his name is? We think he's on the alien ship."

"As a captive or a volunteer?" Tony asked, but from the tone of his voice Peter could tell Tony already knew the answer to that question.

"Captive," came Loki's muffled voice from the background.

Tony swore. "You know what? Peter, I'll distract Squidward and his buddy. You go save the wizard."

"But what about me?" Morgan asked.

"What about you?" Tony asked, grunting as he rolled out of the way of the big alien's mace and then countered with several repulsor blasts.

"If you guys can keep the aliens distracted, Loki and I can go and get him. Easy peasy!"

"No, no way are you going up to that ship Morgan."

Morgan sighed heavily, but didn't argue. "Fine."

"Go, Peter!" Tony shouted.

Peter bit his lip, narrowly dodging the fire hydrant that was sailing right at his face. He didn't want to leave Tony alone to fight these two by himself, but he also understood that Thanos--whoever that was--getting his hands on an infinity stone would be very, very bad.

Resignedly, he fired some webs at Squidward, but before he could even think about using the distraction to get away, a long piece of metal was coiling around his legs. Squidward had one hand in the air, levitating the webs Peter had shot and rendering them completely useless, and the other was slowly closing into a fist.

"You are nothing more than an annoyance, child," Squidward sneered. Peter put all his strength into tearing the metal off, but no matter how much he ripped away more was ready to take its place.
