Chapter 50

AISHANI

"Isha? I hope you're doing fine. It's been a long huh!" I hear his voice suddenly.

My hand trembles.

"He... He made a bunch of videos of the time you had together aishani. And there's this special video of all the videos combined. Your little moments, your laughs and everything you might cherish for" I hear rudra say.

"So if you want those videos and all then stop the damn car. I don't care if I die. I want you to live okay? I'm even okay to die along with you. But why do you even have to die in the first place? So stop the damn car" he adds.

I needed those videos of the little time I spent with Alan. Because that's the only way I can see him, hear his laugh, his smile and those grey eyes that held so much love for me.

And so, i abruptly push the break halting the car with a loud screeching sound.

A few moments pass by and i turn a bit and look at rudra who was looking at me with a different emotion. I ignore him and forward my empty hand which is still red because of my death grip on the steering earlier.

"Let me drive" he says not giving me the video. I agree and get out of the car silently while he takes my place and soon we are headed to his home.

"Realised something aishani?" He asks breaking the eerie silence in the car.

I do not reply.

"You drove. Without fear. Why is it gone now?" He suddenly asks making me realise something.

It can't be right? I... How?

"Are you thinking the same? George.. he died due to a car accident. So do you think you also got the fear of  a car speeding because of him?" Rudra pinpoints my exact thoughts.

"Y-yes.. but how is it even possible" my voice comes out in a whisper.

"I don't know. But... May be things like these do really happen" he says.

Something suddenly clicks in the back of my mind.

“You got a parcel from manchester”

“Be my girlfriend isha. I promise you wont ever regret it”

“I love you Ishani. I love you so much that this heart will forever beat for you. Only for you”

“ISHA !!! ISHAAAAA!!!”

“ISHA… ISHA.. DONT CLOSE YOUR EYES”

“KEEP THEM OPEN. WAKE UP”

It has been him all along?

He... He saved me? He tried to keep me awake?

"He was there rudransh...." I speak as tears blur my vision.

"Huh?"

"He was there. Every damn time. He tried to always save me whenever I had panic attack. He always told me to keep my eyes open. He... He k-kept calling my name. He saved me... Every time I hear his voice whenever I'm on the verge of collapsing. I was a fool not to recognise his voice. How come I forgot his voice so easily? How?? I think I deserve everything that's been happening to me since childhood" I smile to numb my pain.

"He .. he tried saving you for a reason i guess? So that you could live aishani. Not to blame yourself. You know right that there's no fault of yours in whatever happened to George?" He questions.

"How can you say that there's no fault of mine? It's my fault. Clearly. I was the one who didn't trust him. I should've believed him when he said that I'm the only girl he'll ever have in his heart. I was the one who wasn't able to see pain in his eyes. He even told me to wait four years rudra. And i didn't ......"
