Chapter 19: Necromancin' and Dancin'

"A dance event? Where is it? It's not as Osric's place is it?" Caitlin asked curiously. "For once no. To be honest I'm convinced he set up that stage just for you and Moss at this point." Garzovin said with a chuckle. "It's at the local rollerskating rink but don't worry they're gonna clear out the skaters for the dance if you were scared of falling."

Caitlin just smiled. "You'll be lucky if I don't trip over my own feet. I never have been much of a dancer but it sounds nice. Is Laris going to join us?" She asked. "Actually Laris suggested me to come ask you. A customer at the bakery told us about it but he didn't feel like coming along. In fact he actually decided to open the bakery by himself today, although we got lucky enough to find a part timer to take my place for the day." Garzovin answered.

"Well do you mind if I let Moss and Seredona know? I doubt Seredona will want to go but knowing Moss he'll come along by himself. He gets bored when we aren't going on quests since Seredona keeps him in the house a lot. To be honest I wonder how it's gonna work out when they get married because Moss is not really an indoors guy and Seredona clearly doesn't like going out." Caitlin said, sounding a bit worried.

Just then Caitlin's phone rang
"Speak of the devil. Oh wait that's right, I killed him already." She answered the phone quickly after. "Hey you good Seredona? You never call me... Or anyone for that matter." Caitlin said worriedly. "Am I not allowed to unless something is wrong?" Seredona asked sarcastically. "Well yeah but it was just a surprise." Caitlin answered.

"Then wait until you hear the next thing. Moss is taking me to a dance at the local skating rink tonight. It's supposed to be real casual thank gosh." Seredona said. "Actually Garzovin just came to ask me to go to the same one and I was wondering if you and Moss wanted to come along." Caitlin said back. "You and Moss really are best friends then because that's exactly what I called for. He wanted me to see if you and Garzovin wanted to come but I guess we just answered that question." Seredona said.

"Suppose so. You think Selrin and Mibee would want to come along?" Caitlin asked. "Nah you know those two's ideal date is a lot more violent than most. We did ask Charles and Vi and although Vi had to work, Charles said he'd be fine third wheeling. Do you guys want to see if Pheem and Dysrea want to come along though?" Seredona seemed hesitant to question Caitlin about the topic for some reason.

"Actually I heard they're already busy planning their wedding so they probably won't." Caitlin heard Seredona sigh in relief on the other end of the phone. "Lucky you right?" She teased. "Oh crap, I didn't mean to let that out. Yeah that would just be a little more than the amount of people I'd want to interact with." Seredona said softly.

"Don't worry. Me and Garzovin will leave you and Moss to do your own stuff most of the dance for once." Caitlin said, sounding a little too proud of herself. "Finally getting it are you?" Seredona asked playfully. "Getting what? I could never possibly catch a hint." Caitlin replied in a silly voice. "See you guys there tonight." Caitlin said as she hung up.

"I hope you weren't planning to make me wear anything fancy for this dance because Seredona just said it's casual." Garzovin just laughed. "You think I would wear a suit even if it was formal?" Caitlin smirked. "And that's one of the reasons I love you."

"Only one?" Garzovin asked. "What about the others?" He taunted playfully. "Well you put up with my bullshit, you're hot, you're nice and understanding, when my urges pop up you don't mind fu-" Caitlin quickly got interrupted. "Okay I got it! The first three got the point across." Garzovin said, blushing slightly. "Just wanted to be sure to not miss anything." Caitlin responded before giving him a kiss on the cheek. "You wanna just stay here in the castle until time for the dance?" She asked. "Yeah that sounds good." Garzovin replied.
