Nathalie's POV:
"Sir, Lila Rossi has been kicked out by his mother. She is alone, pregnant, and has no place to go" I report to Gabriel, as he scribbles away either designing or plotting new akuma attacks. It could honestly be either.
"What about her father?"
"He's made it very clear he wants nothing to do with her".
"Grandparents?"
"Dead. No other family seems willing to take her either".
"Very well. She may stay here. You will be assigned guardianship over her, and shall treat her like you do Adrien. She can have the spare room near to Adrien's. Go and collect her at once. They will both be being homeschooled from now on".
I freeze.
"You're taking Adrien out of school?"
"And Lila. They've got each other for company now. Run along".
I pinch the bridge of my nose, deciding to stand up for them later. Lila needs collecting, and there's one more thing I still need to discuss.
"Sir, the antidote didn't work for me, either". I pause. "Nor did abortion".
He pauses briefly, then continues scribbling. "Very well. Expect a 10% pay rise, and keep any time off to a minimum. Now go".
I freeze for a moment, stunned, before silently nodding once and leaving to collect Lila. This job is too much. Why am I still putting up with this?"
