Nathalie's POV:

We're over the border now. We're in England. Now to find somewhere to stay for a few nights.

We stop at another service station, and I give Adrien and Lila five pounds each out of my foreign money purse, which is left over from a holiday I took years ago, to get whatever they want whilst I top up on petrol again and book us a hotel. I pull up directions to a local travel agents to exchange our euros for pounds, then I sit and wait in the car for Adrien and Lila.

They come back, Lila with a magazine and lollipops, and Adrien with two books and a pack of maoams.

"You can do whatever you want now until we get there. It shouldn't be too long" I gently explain, and Lila seems to be extremely relived to not be counting cars anymore. Adrien just shrugs and says 'ok, Nathalie' with a smile on his face, so I know he's not bothered.

Lila opens her magazine and a lollipop, and Adrien opens up his first book and his maoams.
