This is written with my Tav OC. His name is Casimir and he is a half wood elf half Tiefling bard. Enjoy :b

Astarion turns his head towards the soft sound of laughter coming from the forest at the edge of the camp. His travelling companions have returned. Karlach and Casimir emerged from the trees, baskets clutched in their hands. Casimir was the one laughing. "Oh please- Karlach you wouldn't know the difference between the most poisonous mushroom in Faerun and a bread roll." He teased. Karlach scoffed, touching her hand to her chest in a false offended gesture. "Hey they don't exactly teach us the ropes of foraging down there! Cut me a break will ya!" Casimir laughs again, setting his basket on the tree stump near the fire, shaking his head in amusement. "You never fail to make me laugh." His mismatched gaze falls upon Astarion who was watching his with a curious expression. "Good evening, Astarion." He greeted, tucking hair behind his ear. "Ah! My dear Casimir! How delightful to see you returned unscathed." The vampire purred in his usual chirpy tone, his arms swinging open in a welcoming gesture as he bows his head. He takes a step closer, glancing the bard up and down. "I trust your excursion was fruitful?" He asks, nodding his head towards Casimir's discarded basket. Before giving Casimir a chance to respond he quickly moves to sit beside the fire, waving the bard to follow. "Oh please do tell me about your day - I've been simply pining for your company." His voice was practically dripping with playful charm as he spoke, how could Casimir decline? Casimir chuckles softly, more to himself, and moves to sit on the dusty ground beside Astarion. "You missed me that much, huh?" He teased as he made himself comfortable, glancing at Astarion before looking at the flames, watching as they stretched towards the stars.

"Oh my dear how could I not? The mere thought of your absence left me positively bereft!" Astarion places a dramatic hand over his heart, feigning despair before flashing Casimir a teasing grin. The vampire laughed softly and leaned back against his palms, glancing up at the star filled sky. "But.. now that you're here.." He turned his gaze to the bard. "I find myself quite revived." He grinned again, that damned charming grin that Casimir couldn't help but offer a small smile in response to. "So go on! Tell me about your day. Tell me of all the fun trouble you got into without me." His tone was teasing. "I'm simply dying to hear all about it." And there it was, the sarcasm, but at least he was trying. Casimir and Astarion had grown quite close over the past few months and their relationship was a huge question mark right now. More than friends, less than something more. Casimir shook the thought from his head and started to recount the events of his day out with Karlach. He yapps on and on and Astarion finds it hard to stay interested in the conversation, but he does his best to at least pretend he's listening. "And then when we were just about to- hey are you even listening to me?" Casimir snapped into Astarion's thoughts as he starred off into the forest. "Hm?" He turned his distracted gaze towards Casimir. "Oh- my apologies. Yes darling i was listening." Casimir raised an eyebrow. No he wasn't. "Okay, what was I saying then." A slightly worried look crossed Astarion's features, but was quickly replaced with a coy smile. "You were just saying how.. how uh.." He trailed off. "Erm.. give me a hint?" Casmir reached to give Astarion a shove but he snaked to the side laughing. "Hey hey no need to get rude!" He huffed. "My attention seems to be preoccupied. I am.. quite hungry." He trailed off, his red eyes flick towards Casimir's throat and he snapped his fingers to regain the vampires attention again. "Hey, eyes up here. You are NOT biting me again." Casimir warned sternly. Astarion's hands came up in defense. "Oh darling of course not! You made it pretty clear that you would not be tolerating that. But a vampire can dream cant he?" He smirked, his voice laced with nothing but pure charisma. Casimir rolled his eyes dramatically and changed the subject. "Why don't you tell me about your day? Did you do anything? Or did you just mope about the camp and bother Gale all day." Astarion gasped dramatically. "BOTHERING him? Darling anybody would be blessed to have MY company. Bothering? Really? Pssht." He waved his hand in a dismissing gesture. "Bothering." He repeated in disbelief. Casimir shrugged. "I would say so. But whatever i guess. Do you want to tell me about your day or not?" Astarion thought for a second before responding. "No you got it to a T actually." He admitted, glancing away for a moment before returning his attention to Casimir. Casimir sighs, smiling softly and shaking his head. "You really are something." - "I am though aren't I?" He laughs and flicked the vampires arm playfully, "You are so full of yourself!" Astarion frowned half heartedly before shifting his body, moving slightly closer. "Yeah yeah, you're just jealous."- "Jealous?! Jealous of WHAT?" Casimir was laughing between words, rubbing the bridge of his nose as he shook his head. "Well my confidence, obviously." Casimir continued to laugh, completely amused by Astarion's words and looked back to the fire. "Yeah okay." He started to play with the ruffles at the end on his sleeve, falling silent. Astarion moved his hand, brushing his knuckles against Casimir's arm softly, a silent invitation for the bard to lean into his touch, but Casimir doesn't even process the gesture. "I will say," He broke the silence. "I did listen to most of what you were saying about your day, And I will admit I am a bit saddened that I wasn't out there with you." Casimir turned his head towards Astarion a bit. listening to him as he spoke, his voice sounding a bit too sincere for his comfort, nothing like his usual chirpy, sarcastic self. "We simply must explore together sometime. Just you and me out in the beautiful wilderness. 200 years away from the sun and now when I can finally experience it, I've nobody to experience it with." He tsks and shakes his head. "Really it's a shame." Astarion smiles coyly, touching Casimir's arm again. This time he notices, glancing down at the vampire's hand. "It's.. not like I just go out there and frolic." He scoffed. "I go work. Get supplies, Trade things. Talk to people. LOTS of people. I'm always doing something for someone. There's never time to just stop and smell the roses Astarion." Astarion frowned. "Well.. why not? Make time. It's easy." He scoffs again. "Easy for you maybe. Some of us are actually concerned about this tadpole in our heads." Astarion shrugged. "You could still make.. a little time? Don't you think?" He sounded slightly desperate. Casimir just sighs and turned his head back to the fire. "Sure. I'll see what I can do." There was a moment of silence. "You could always just, you know, come with me when I go out." Astarion waved his hand, dismissingly. "And spend my day helping ungrateful degenerates? I will sadly have to pass on that." There was no winning with this man. "Alright then." Casimir moved to get up. "Wait-" Astarion grabbed his arm quickly before he could rise. "Stay a while longer will you? It's nice to.. you know.." He seemed like he couldn't find the right words for a minute. "It's nice to talk.. with you." He smiled a bit. Casimir relaxed back on the ground slightly. They continued to talk back and forth for what felt like hours, sharing plenty of stories and subtle touches. Stealing glances of adoration, or.. perhaps affection?
