Sorry, I haven't posted in a while. I got distracted, to be honest. As well, season five kinda pissed me off to no end. On top of that, I change fandoms ( Fnaf ) and try to make a comic in the fandom. Anyway, I do remember this fanfiction, and I am slowly trying to update it. But I want to say thank you to all those who have read this. I really appreciate you guys reading my first fanfiction.
By the way, there is still no beta reader.__________________________________
With each row, the building came closer and closer towards Luka. The journey itself was mind-numbing. Gone is the sound of pigeons flying and cooing in the air, the car honking in the street, people and tourists alike walking and chirping about. The silent ocean is all that accompanies him now.The building stood there as a beacon in the vast sea. The only interesting note was the litter that drifted alongside the boat.
The occasional litter becoming more common, empty bags of chips drifting. Bag and magazines forgotten bleached from the sun becoming more prominent. Out of all the objects that float the most baffled thing to Luka was the bus and cars managed to float to the top.Inching towards the tour, Montparnasse Luka ceased his rowing when he became eye to eye with his grainy reflection from the dirty building glass. Luka winces at the straining feeling inside his arm from overuse. Painfully picking up his arms using the end of the sleeves of the borrowed coat, Luka begins to clean a portion of the large glass plane.
Grabbing the plunger and rope, Luka tied the rope to a hook on the boat and rapped and tied the other end to the plunger. With an exhausted look on his face, a problem stuck out to Luka that he hasn't thought thoroughly about. The glass on the skyscrapers was hard to break only at a certain angle it would shatter, but that was not the issue. The problem is how to be quiet about it. Breaking the glass would cause noise but also the glass falling in the water. On top of it, the window he needs to break is a little higher, so he does not have to walk in the water.
Unsure going forward, Luka laid his head back on the boat and looked up to the building at the repeating rows of glass. The soft sound of the rocking in water, the creak of the wood, the longing melody that drifts towards heaven that could make anyone fall to external slumber.
Once relaxed, an idea came to Luka's head. Tugging the dinghy towards the building only a few centimeters apart Luka took off the coat and laid it out the on dinghy cover the width of the glass plane.
Knife in one hand and hammer in other, Luka wedged the knife between the glass and metal side of the building. Raising the hammer, Luka struck the hammer down in one blow and the glass shattered. The glass didn't initially fall into the water and ground. Resting his arms, Luka pushed the glass, and from the touched, it cave fell on the floor and coat. The sound of the cubed glass making the water pop with sound. Wry smiles on his face, Luka grabs his bag and hoists his body to meet the broken window. Tip toeing around glass and brushing the remaining off himself. Luka looks at the quiet building. The building looks like the rest of the city before the food. The people in the hallway are statues all crowded around the elevator. The building itself smells of mildew, and the white tiled marble floor is slippery with a layer of dust. Turning his eyes away from the crowd. Sun rays cast out a small window towards the left. Approaching it, Luka realizes it’s a brown wooden door that leads to the building office.
The decks are four by four, two mirroring one another, with a thick divider between each desk. Each desk comes with a metal file cabinet on the right handside. With half of the desk occupied by the frozen people. One in a mid stretch, another a middle aged man rubbing his eyes, a woman bracing herself to get up, and so on. The light from the left side window casting a sharp shadow on their faces. Making them appear as museum fine art displays.
Luka maneuvers his way to the first cluster of desks unoccupied. The desk itself held uninteresting documents, all pushed to one side of the desk. Opening the cabinet, the first drawer filled with filled paper all colored codes. A spark of hope was the second draw had personality towards it. It was filled with 3 water bottles, Doliprane, and two unopened bags of Brets. Shoveling the items into the bag. Luka hit the next three desks only to have a half eaten pack of almonds wrapped up in rubber bands, a pack of gum, and some pads.
There is something so mournful going desk to desk looking for food and items. With each desk, Luka could imagine the personality of each individual. The note they would have, the family photos, the individual who had anime pins and stickers of their favorite show. It was invading in a way. It wasn't like it was mother or sister where he could have the comfort of knowing it's allowed. But it's the reality he must know he had to do this to survive.
With his bag getting full, Luka made the decision to empty and take some of the employees' bags. Handling a second backpack and slouch purse. Further into the back, Luka found what he was looking for: a water cooler. Lula was grinning like a fool, for what? For the absurd fact, it's a bottom water dispenser, meaning not having to go through the trouble to lift the large body of water.
Squatting down and grabbing the large body of water and proceeding to kick the water and have it rolled in the direction out the office space. Grabbing the collection of bags, Luka proceeds to follow the rolling water container until a sudden shadow shifts in the hallway.
Luka freezes, the water containers plastic making a crunching noise as it rolls on the dirty floor and water sloshing as it slowly comes to a stop.
Dare not breathe.
Dare not blink.
The brown wooden door becomes blurry as Luka vision starts to double. The shadow grew with the sound of the piano.Luka ducked down to the closest group of desks, making himself as small as possible, grabbing the bag as close to his body as possible.
Besides the sun, it would seem the whole world came to a stop. As the sun set casting the room into an orange hue. Luka meticulously turns his body to the side of the desk.
In the exit of the door is a silhouette cast in red light from the setting sun. Luka quickly tucks his head back.
The Akumatized villian found him.
