Charlie Morningstar's throat grew tight with panic as she stared up at the sneering face of Alastor's alter; and she recoiled at once, trying to thrash her way out from under the cerulean deer demon, though he quickly blocked her with an arm, his other hand grasping her hair in his fist and holding her head in place.
"Come now, there's no need to get so worked up," Blue crooned, his free hand stroking her cheek, but though his glove was warm, she shivered, feeling her panicked surge of strength wane. "You were enjoying yourself just a moment ago!"
Her stomach knotted in disgust at the weight of his body settling on her. "Let me go!" the princess gasped. She tried to kick, but her limbs had no force behind them, and her hands were caught by his shining tendrils, dragged to her sides despite her writhing protests. "Get off!"
"In due time, dear!" the azure Radio Demon laughed, and the sadistic glee turned Charlie's stomach so hard she thought she might actually become sick from it. Her desperation only excited him, his mouth twisting in a wicked sneer as he stared down at her, resting his hips against hers. "So impatient! Why don't we savor this? After all, it's been so long!"
His head lowered to her neck and she shrieked in disgust as his tongue traced along the curve of her jaw. Her hair might have been in his fist, but she endured the harsh tug as she jerked to the side, butting his head with her temple.
Blue's teeth clacked at the sudden impact, and his cobalt eyes flashed in surprise and pain, then softened, almost as if in pride. "Oh, sweet flame; I have missed you."
"I knew it," Baxter's sullen voice muttered from the doorway.
The pair turned and Charlie shoved her way out from under the deer demon, though he wasn't fighting her as much, stepping back to hold her arm as he glowered at the other figure. "I told you to get out," he hissed, static buzzing in his voice.
"But I need to recalibrate the device! Her essence-"
"You'll not touch that machine again!" The azure Radio Demon's eyes flashed, and his tendrils shimmered in an dazzling arc that made the princess wince at the light. "That's an order."
"This woman wasn't the objective, you know that! I- I should tell Charlotte!"
Blue's antlers branched wider, his eyes shining so bright they were practically white. "Open your mouth and I'll filet you," he snarled at the fish demon, who jolted so badly he knocked into the table behind him.
A small glass tube fell over, rolling onto the floor and shattering, which distracted the scientist from the pair. He let out a desperate sound, his attention immediately drawn to his ruined work as he knelt to examine it. "You'll do whatever you want, I can't stop you," he muttered bitterly. "But at least don't contaminate my experiments - the Lady will be upset at delays."
The deer demon's antlers shrank back to their typical width. "That's fair, I suppose." He turned his attention back to Charlie. "Well, we'll just be on our way, then," he smirked, his grip on her arm tightening.
As her legs wobbled, the princess realized with a gasp of terror that he intended to make her pass out.
Once that happened...
A surge of strength came over her as fear brought her second wind and she punched at him, trying to jerk herself free from his grip.
"If you're going to take that woman out of here then you need to hide her face and hair!" the fish demon called, likely fretting for his remaining experiments as the pair wrestled for leverage.
