My eyes flickered to my surroundings. I was in my house once again. Odd. I thought while I groaned while stretching and feeling my bones pop. I let out a satisfied sigh and got up to see I was a bit shorter than before. The thought of how I was in my house never came into my mind.

I remember being taller.

Anxiety flooded me as I rushed for a mirror, and as I particularly flew across my room to the bathroom, I realized I was a teenager again... 16 in my shit parents' house.

No, no, no, no, no! I felt my chest tighten like an alligator was chewing me in half, starting from my chest. I was hyperventilating as I fell to my knees with a thud. I nervously looked at my surroundings to make sure I wasn't dreaming, even pinching myself. Once I did that, I woke up in my room with many soldiers.

My eyes were bloodshot, and sweat trickled down my forehead as I looked around to see everyone staring at me. I groaned and apologized for my outburst, and some snickered while others shook their heads. Seriously, I let them see me this vulnerable!? I shook my head and ran my hand through my black locks of hair.

I stretched in reality this time, feeling the relief of my body working and not in a dream. I laughed to myself and looked at my dresser to see a note.

I sighed, wondering if I was in trouble yet. I brushed it off and headed to my duffle bag to grab my work outfit, which was a long black sleeve and cargo camouflage pants. After all, I am still a bit young (22), and the captain liked me because I saved his son on a mission where his son cowardly hid behind crates, to which I had to drag him.
So Captain let me slide with my outfit, not that it was ba.d. I can work it in fine. It's just that it doesn't look as formal.

I finished up by putting on black eyeliner and skincare, as well as a shower and brushing my teeth, being completely oblivious to the figure watching me.

I watched as she awoke a breathing mess. Her hair frizzled, her beautiful eyes were, and bloodshot sweat trickled down her face. I suppose it was a nightmare. I studied her fixtures and the way she apologized, which brought a smile to my face, and I saw how she was in her thoughts, completely oblivious to me. I loved the way she walked and talked.
just everything, She brought a feeling nobody has ever before, and it's good she's not seeing anyone because she's mine. She's so pretty even when she just woke up From a nightmare. Gosh, I love how pretty she looks, such a beautiful woman.

I walked out into the halls, my black boots leaving quiet but faint footsteps.

I entered Captain Levi's office.
I saluted him as I peered at what he was doing. "Ever heard of knocking solider?" He huffed, rolling his eyes.

he sat man spread in his office seat. His arms rested on either side of his chair.
he glared at me playfully.

I smiled beneath my mask as he seemed to notice how my eyes crinkled. "Sorry sir, you did call me." I shot back playfully as I took a seat in front of him. I saw a hint of sadness in his eyes as he avoided eye contact, and he sat up straight and finally looked at me. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "You'll be moving to task force 141 as well as other teams." He sighed as I watched him closely. He looked like a sad dad watching their child leave the nest. I then realized he was gonna miss me, and so was I.

I swallowed the lump in my throat, feeling like swallowing a needle as it pierced through my throat. A sting in my heart a familiar one. It felt as if my arms, were numb my heart beating as if it had feelings and tears of its, own as it let them out and I had to keep my composure. The void in my stomach and the electric sad feeling stayed in my body as it threaded to be let out it wanted to be free and let my body collapse to nothingness yet that was how my feelings played me as every feeling of sadness I ever got to disappointment to just heartbreaks were coming back as my body knew how to push and where.
I stared at him and did something I never imagined I'd do. I stood up and hugged him he was stiff and startled, not expecting this from me. I didn't either, but my body reacted on its own. And I breathed in a painful breath, feeling like a sword was made into air and as I breathed it blood trickled down my throat invisible blood. "I'm gonna miss you captain." I finally said, feeling the poisonous air in my lungs leave. "Me too, kid me too.." he said combing his fingers through my hair and it brought me comfort I always wanted my parents to treat me like a baby again not the type where they are annoyed of my crying but where they surrounded me with love and at the sight of me they'd fall to their knees in happiness. Yet I never had that, but at the moment, I was feeling it.

After what felt like hours, he let go, and I didn't want him to. "Better get going kiddo and I have a gift for you," he said with a dad smile and tired eyes looking down at me. "Close your eyes now" He said playfully, and I did as he said, even turning around. I felt like a kid.
I heard his drawer open and the sound of a box. Why would he be gifting me something? I heard a chuckle, a whole hearted one that made my heart sting, knowing I might not ever hear it again. "Open your eyes, dear." He said with a chuckle, handing me a box, and once I looked down, I smiled, feeling tears prick my eyes. I looked at the white box with a purple ribbon, my favorite colors, too... I opened the box to find a beautiful necklace, a photo of me on my first day getting yelled at by cap and a familiar leather bracelet that was worn by Levi. I picked up the bracelet, and Levi grabbed it and looked me in the eyes. "Let me." He said smiling , I nodded in agreement and put my wrist out for him to attach the leather on me. "And that should do it, kiddo." He smiled down as he studied it as if that's the last time he'd ever see my hand. "I'll see you again, won't I?" I asked nervously as I looked at the beautiful bracelet he gifted me. "Of course you will, kid." He laughed, ruffling my hair. I laughed almost as I looked at my face in the photo. Oh, how I looked like I was going to punch him so hard.

Flash back

"Y/n! Get your ass here!"
Levi, my new captain, yelled, and I knew I was in trouble well, particularly because I got in a fight..not my fault she called me a poopyhead.
I walked over hearing soldiers snickering and whispers. "Yes, sir?" I asked nervously.
"who the hell do you think you are being a new recruiter and fighting my fuckin soldiers?!" He yelled close to my face. "That fucking barracks Bunny deserved it!" I yelled back immediately regretting that decision. He looked shocked to see I talked back but he was fuming with anger. "Fine you're doing 50 laps no water no breaks and no whining!" He yelled and immediately pointed to the track. I groaned Internally and jogged my way over while I heard laughing "And you Bunny you will have cleaning duty for a year!"
I laughed in my head and got to my laps.
