Arial's POV
As I emerged from the station, a sense of determination cursed through my veins. However I knew that before I could embark on my next mission, I needed to recharge. I decided to treat myself to a sweet respite and headed to a nearby ice cream shop, where I indulged in my favourite flavour- creamy vanilla. The cool, velvety texture was just what I needed to calm my mind and refuel fir the challenges ahead.
As I pushed open the door and stepped into the shop, I was immediately enveloped in a refreshing oasis. The cool air washed over me, carrying the sweet, creamy aroma of ice cream that tantalized my senses and made my heart skip a beat. I couldn't help but smile as I made my way to the cashier, my eyes scanning the colourful array of flavours on display. With a sense of anticipation, I placed my order, eagerly awaiting the first bite of my beloved vanilla ice cream
Just as I was waiting for my order, a man strode into the shop, his presence commanding attention. An unsettling chill seemed to emanate from him, sending shivers down the spines of those around him as his piercing gaze swept the room. Yet, despite the unnerving aura, his chiseled features and striking good looks made it impossible for people to look away. I, however, remained immune to his mesmerizing charm, though I couldn't shake the feeling that I had seen him before. There was something familiar about him, something that nagged at the edges of my memory.
The moment of recognition hit me like a spark - he was the CEO of Arfel company, the same man whose picture I had seen while reviewing the mission details earlier. I couldn't help but wonder what a high- profile figure like him was doing in a humble ice cream shop. But before I could ponder further, my attention was diverted by the stunning woman who walked in beside him, effortlessly commanding the attention if every man in the room. And if that wasn't enough, a man who appeared to be his driver joined them later, adding to the intrigue. The trio's presence was like a whispered secret, drawing my curiosity and making me wonder what brought the together in this unexpected setting.
I quickly looked away, avoiding eye contact and focused on my ice cream. "Mmm" I moaned in delight, savouring the creamy texture and sweetness if the vanilla. The cashier raised an eyebrow, seemingly amused by my enthusiasm, but I didn't let that faze me. I was just a 20-year-old woman indulging in her love for vanilla ice cream, and I wouldn't let anyone judge me for that.
I shot him a playful glance and asked "Never seen a lady enjoy ice cream before?" He was taken aback by my question, but his next words left me speechless.
"Oh, I have, I'm just amused... it's not every day you see a beautiful lady savouring ice cream like it's a treasured delight."
I couldn't help but feel a flutter in my chest at his unexpected compliment. "But didn't you just see the woman who walked in?" I asked, trying to deflect his praise.
"How can you call me beautiful after that?"
He chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
"She may be stunning, but your beauty is in a different league. Your eyes alone..." He trailed off, his gaze intense, as if drinking in the sight of me. I was left flustered, unsure how to respond or if I should even believe his words. It was the first time I'd ever received such a genuine compliment, and it left me breathless.
