I was a bright little girl, full of dreams and laughter. My days were filled with sunlight and the scent of blooming flowers, and my heart brimmed with an unyielding desire to live. Life, to me, was an endless adventure—a vast playground where every moment sparkled with possibility.

I remember running barefoot through the grassy fields behind my house, my hair whipping in the wind as I chased after butterflies. The world seemed so big then, but I was never afraid. Instead, I was curious, eager to explore every hidden corner, to see what magic lay just beyond the horizon. Every day felt like a new beginning, and I embraced it with open arms and a wide, toothy grin.

I had dreams, oh so many dreams. I wanted to become a singer, to stand on a stage with a microphone in my hand and let my voice soar into the skies. I imagined myself as a teacher, guiding others with the same kindness and patience that I saw in my own teachers. Sometimes, I dreamed of being an artist, painting the colors of my imagination onto blank canvases. My dreams were as boundless as the sky, and I was convinced that one day, I would touch the stars.

But it wasn't just the big dreams that made me happy; it was the small things too. The taste of fresh strawberries picked straight from the garden, the sound of rain tapping gently against the windowpane, the warmth of my mother's embrace as she read me bedtime stories—these were the moments that filled my heart with joy. I loved the way the world smelled after a storm, fresh and clean like the promise of something new. I loved the way the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with shades of pink and gold, as if the world itself were saying goodnight.

Happiness was simple then. It was the laughter of my friends as we played hide-and-seek in the park, the comforting routine of school and home, the security of knowing that tomorrow would bring more of the same. My life was small, but it was mine, and it was filled with everything that I loved.

I didn't think about the future much back then. All I knew was that I wanted to live. To see what would happen next, to keep moving forward no matter what. I wanted to grow up, to experience all the wonders that life had to offer, and to do it all with a smile on my face.

But life, as I would soon learn, had other plans.
