It was six forty five in the morning. Thank god today was a Friday so sixteen year old Lorelei could have the weekend to herself and finally sleep in until the afternoon.

She dreaded waking up early for school, never could do it really. As she slowly gathered herself up from her queen size bed, she could feel her hair was a mess. Knotted and rough. Her lips chapped, dry and needed a sip of water as soon as possible.

This was her favorite part of her day though, aside from waking up, that's one of the worst. Lorelei was a 'Fashionista', she loved opening her closet doors and picking off a hanger with a cute tank top and a pair of old, distressed (Bought online already distressed) and extremely baggy jeans where they fall on top of her sneakers.

After she added the basic needs for an outfit such as a bland top and stylish pants. She'd add accessories such as shield sunglasses and a couple flashy belts, necklaces, bracelets and rings. Lorelei didn't dress for others. She dressed to impress herself and how she felt on the inside.

Walking into the small bathroom that gave cabin vibes, she bent down to grab a hair brush from a shelf down below and quickly brushed her hair and sat it down on her counter next to her sink when she finished. Picking up her deep black eyeliner and moved her sunglasses up on top of her head and moved in front of a mirror and applied the eye liner heavily around her water line.

Six fifty-eight now and Lorelei grabbed a apple and sliced it up with a small knife and sat down at the dining table and browsed through a People's magazine while she ate. Afterwards she washed up her area and brushed her teeth. Smiling wide in the mirror to make sure that her teeth were pearly white.

Lorelei walked out of her bathroom from brushing and grabbed a black backpack and swung it over one of her shoulders. Grabbing her phone and headphones from her bedside and looked behind her to check herself out in the mirror to boost her confidence.

She shut her bedroom door and walked downstairs to see her family's golden retriever, Denver. Her mother had already gotten to work. But for her father, he didn't leave for work till noon so he'd often just sleep in.

Eight o' clock. Lorelei walked through the crowds of high schoolers, Freshies, Sophos, Juniors, and Seniors. She walked past the awards glass and was about to make her way up the stairs when she stopped.

There was David. He was standing by the opposite side of the hallway with the other guys. David was her all time crush. She just wished he could see her but he's always so busy with his friends. But there is one problem for her...

David was a freshie... I mean no problem right? Lorelei's a Sophomore, she likes her men older than her. Never got into the whole thing where the guy is younger than the female in a relationship.

Lorelei stared at him with a frown, he hadn't seen her when she was staring. She huffed and went on her way upstairs to head to her Biology class.

Biology went fine, the same as any normal class. But when it was time for History, things took a turn. Lorelei recently decided to befriend the lonely, quiet girl who was always a teachers pet. She expected a girl who hadn't known who she was yet, and would be the type of girl that went from quiet and meek to the energetic, always going to have your back type of friend.

The classroom was small, tables for desks where two people would sit side by side. The teacher, Mr. Eames or some students would call him Mr. Ames was sitting at his desk grading test papers from previous classes.

Lorelei saw her quiet friend, Petra, was sitting alone as usual at a desk, doodling in a sketchpad that she would show to every teacher she came across for the praise.
