I sighed as I left the dorm in the middle of the night, watching the fog from my breath spread out into the air. It was a lot colder than normal, along with the noise from the small animals that stayed near the dorm missing. I shrugged it off as I continued walking, humming softly as I did a few spins as I walked.

I smiled as I hummed to the melody, doing a few more turns. I was dancing across the grass as I started to do a mini waltz, freezing in place as I heard a second voice join me. I spun around to see a male with horns bowing slightly, tilting his head as he held out a hand for me. After a few seconds of hesitation, I placed my hand in his and followed his lead as he pulled me into a full ballroom waltz.

As our duet ended, the male spun me around one final time before dropping me into a dip, staring at me curiously for a moment before letting me stand straight and backing away. "You have a lovely voice... may I ask where you learned that song?" I took note of the males appearance. 'Daisomnia, huh?' "I heard it a long time ago... I've memorized it since then." 'This place is based off the disney villans... right?... this male... he strangely resembles Malificent, so it's best not to tell him the truth.'

The male hummed as he nodded, turning to glance at the Ramshackle dorm. "Do you live here? I was under the impression that this dorm had been abandoned for some time.... I quite enjoyed having a place where I could go to enjoy the peace of solitude." I glanced at the rustic dorm as well, thinking back to how much I cleaned it up. "It WAS abandoned, but the headmage sent me and my familiars to live there... I've since transformed the dorm into an actual living place..."

The male nodded once more as we continued to stare forward in silence. After a few minutes, I turned to face him. "Who are you exactly?" The male turned to stare at me in shock. "Who am I...? You really don't know who I am? Interesting. What is your name?" I raised an eyebrow at the male before huffing and crossing my arms. "It's Y/n... I believe it's customary to introduce oneself first though, isn't it? Especially when YOU ask what the other person's name is..."

The male ignored my comment as he tilted his head slightly in response. "Y/n... an unusual name... I am... No, never mind. I'd prefer you remain unaware. It's for your own benefit, I assure you. Instead, I will permit you to call me by a name of your choosing. Although you may one day regret it..." I rolled my eyes as I scoffed, annoyed that he was avoiding identifying himself. 'why is everyone here like this?' The male chuckled as he looked me in the eyes, finding amusement in my misery.

"But alas... If you have taken up residence here, then this abandoned dorm is no longer "abandoned." What a pity. I shall have to find some other ruins for my next night walk. Farewell then, child of man." The male disappeared in a flurry of green lights, leaving me to stare at the empty spot he was just standing in moments before. "How strange..."
