"Here, make sure her temperature doesn't go up anymore!" a distant voice shouted as it came to my ear as ringing, it wasn't just my head pinging with pain, every cell of my body was aching in pain and flaring up as if I was being burnt alive.

"What are you doing?! Bring in the medics! Doctors! those sirens to take her pain away ! anyone!! " a cold towel wet my forehead sending a shudder down my spine because of the difference of hot of skin to the sheer cold of the towel. Another one on my feel, as someone massaged them, rubbing them sending more warmth to my cold feets, a spoon forced in my mouth as my throat ached to swallow.

The ringing drowing the sounds around me, as they got shushed in the background now whispering. A cold hand pressed firmly against my forehead as a whimper left my mouth, it didn't cause me to shudder or any pain, instead slowly the ringing decreased, allowing me to hear something. Instead of the earlier chaotic sounds, it was now silent with only distant sounds of waves, and soft bellows of wind.

A sharp pain shot through my skull again, as I tried to recall what had happen, no answer came to me. I hissed at the pain's sudden intensity, I had no energy and no memory ofwhat happened, it was all a big mess of choas in my brain.

The hand pressed more firmly now, almost covering my forehead and my eyes even, there was a weird warmth to it which tingled against my skin, immediatly sucking all the pain away and leaving me with a small smile. I head someone clear their throat in somewhere distant, "The time is now, sir. The people of fontaine are waiting for you to deliver your judgement to the lords and royals."

My heart leapt to my mouth, thumping loudly as I recognized that voice, that stubborn guard on the ship, who tried to foolishly risk his life to save mine. The memory was foggy but I could recall slowly.

I fell in the water ― sirens ― blue and white hair ―dragon's curse ― his oath and my pact I fell in the water again and then I am here.

" It'll have to wait, I can't do that until she is there to witness it. Just like everyone else in fontaine, she was also a victim of their sins, I could say, she has suffered there actiosn the most and yet you want me to proceed this without at least her being there to witness it?" His voice held authority, and power laced in the tone. I know that voice, I know that touch and I know who speaks like that but I don't want to admit it.

My heart beating louder as the silence was consuming me between them, I couldn't even see as I had my eyes shut and here I am eavesdropping them. The guard sighed, "I will convey your words to the people, Iudex. " he was pissed, anyone could tell. A sense of relief eased into me as I heard his footsteps and the door closing a little loudly that I jumped in surprise. I cursed myself for being so idiot, the hand moved from my forehead and a part of me craved that warmth again but I never accept it.
