"I want you to stay" was all iwaizumi managed to say to his beloved.

They were in the airport. Oikawa was planning to move to Argentina for volleyball, and Iwaizumi came to say his farewell.

Iwaizumi had tears forming in his eyes, because he knew what tooru's move meant: Oikawa would probably never come back. And iwaizumi couldn't manage to move to Argentina with him because he just got promoted as an athletic trainer for the Japan's team.

Oikawa was already a crying mess. But when iwaizumi respoke, he fell into his arm crying even more

"If you go, I'm going too, cause it was always you" iwaizumi said in the ear of oikawa.

"You know you can't and I might not be leaving forever..." tooru tried to say, but his throat was too tight for him to speak correctly.

'This is the last call for the passenger of the airplane 245b flying to Buenos Aires !'

Iwaizumi tightened his grip on oikawa's shoulder, but oikawa patted for the last time his back, before breaking their hug.

As a goodbye, iwaizumi handled him a picture and he said 'see you soon Oikawa' still crying all the tears in his body.

"I don't know what I'm crying for, I should be happy for you that you find a job in Argentina !"

"It might not be long but baby I-" was all Oikawa could say before iwaizumi harshly put his lips on his, making them kiss for the last time.

"I love you til the day that I die..." iwaizumi said, forehead on forehead with Oikawa, wiping off the tears coming down Toruu's face.

Oikawa waved for the last time before entering the boarding lounge.

While the airplane was taking off, Oikawa, whose vision wasn't blurry no more because the tears disappeared, took a look at the picture iwaizumi gave him, and saw that it was a picture of them two, as kids, playing volleyball, with a little inscription on the back 'birds of a feather'

This was enough to make Oikawa cry again.

"You wanna quit ? Don't be stupid, this is a one life opportunity shittykawa." Iwaizumi said through the phone

"But I miss Japan, and accepting this offer means giving up on my japan's nationality !" He heard Oikawa said, hearing the muffling sound of his cries.

"Listen Oikawa, you can still come to japan, it's not because you don't have the nationality anymore that you aren't Japanese, your friends and family will not forget you because you pursue your dream." He tried to say, sounding as comforting as possible.

"Thank you iwa-Chan..." he could hear Oikawa smiling through his phone.

Oikawa entered the court for the Olympic match between Argentina and Japan, hearing the thunder of applause coming from the stand.

And here he was, Iwaizumi, on the bench of the coach, with the Japan uniform, a little smile on his lips. Oikawa smiled too.

It has been since Oikawa left for Argentina that they last saw each other.

At the end of the match,

Tooru went to hug his friend, Iwaizumi tightened the hug, and tried his best to hide his tears from his bestfriend.

"Congrats shittykawa!" Oikawa only laughed, a wave of nostalgia hitting him.

"Still with the nicknames I see, iwa-Chan." And because of the nostalgia, they both started crying.

"Of course, why would I change ?"

Still hugging, they cried in harmony, missing the times they were closer, they saw each other everyday.

"I don't wanna say goodbye..." oikawa said almost as a whisper, allowing only iwaizumi to hear what he said.

"Don't be sad, you're a star now..." Iwaizumi answered, "I know I said I'd never think I wasn't better alone, but that might not be forever." He added, his vision being completely blurred by the tears in his eyes.

"If it's forever, it's even better iwa-Chan, see you soon."

"Oikawa hurry up the team's leaving !" An Argentinian said.

And again, Iwaizumi tightened the hug before finally letting Oikawa go.

"You have the same look in your eyes." Tooru said, with teasing tone to his friend.

"I love you, don't act so surprised." Iwaizumi said playfully smacking his friend shoulder.

I don't know why I'm hurting myself, the fate of iwaoi hurt me so much☹️☹️☹️
I don't know if this story was already made but if it was it is completely a coincidence since it was an original idea that emerged in my brain.

Hope you enjoyed😘
