Sophia Scottie Rose Kelce came screaming into the world on October 10, pink and alert, after a labour so quick Taylor thought she would be giving birth on the side of the road, with Travis as her midwife.
He had broken all sorts of traffic laws to get her there just in time, with her doctor pulling open the car door as Taylor was screaming, 'I can feel her head! She's coming now!', not even making it inside before the baby had arrived in the hospital parking lot.
'Oh my god, I can't believe I just had my baby in the car', Taylor cried, over and over again, as she clutched Sophia to her chest, the baby's cries echoing as the doctor attempted to help Taylor into the awaiting wheelchair, Travis hovering at her side, tears streaming down his face.
'She's beautiful, Tay', he whispered, stroking a finger over her dark hair, matted from birth, but unmistakably like his own.
'She really is', Taylor breathed, gazing down at her daughter for the first time properly, taking in her features. 'You did it again, Travis', she teases as she is wheeled inside, towards the private maternity room that was awaiting her. 'She's just like you. Kelce genes are no match for mine', she laughs, reaching out to lace her fingers through his, holding tightly as they both look in wonder at the new addition to their family.
Donna brought the older girls by the hospital later that afternoon, Melody practically bouncing with excitement as she spotted Sophia in Taylor's arms, contentedly sleeping after being fed. 'She's finally here, mommy!', she yelled, making them laugh, but Sophia slept on through the chaos. 'Just wait, there's two more waiting for you at home', Travis had whispered towards the baby, so only Taylor could hear, and she'd giggled, leaning over Melody and Gracie's heads to press a gentle kiss to his lips.
The following day she was cleared to go home, and even though the birth had been quick, she was feeling great, protesting the traditional wheelchair to take her back to the parking lot. 'Doctors orders, Tay', Travis had scolded her as he helped her in, before lifting Sophia in her car seat, a nurse helping them down to the car.
The journey home was short, and Taylor sat quietly in the back with Sophia, her hand clutching on to her daughters. 'You ready for the madness, baby?', Travis asked softly when they'd pulled into their garage, Taylor nodding her head, eager to be reunited with all her babies.
She walked gingerly through the house until she got to the living room, spotting Donna on the couch with Theo and Charlotte, the little girl spitting out her pacifier and letting out an excited shriek when she spotted her mom rounding the corner. 'Mama!', Theo shouted, too, and they bounced excitedly in their seats until Taylor was resting on the couch and opened her arms for them, both crawling up the seat to take their positions on her lap.
'I have someone very important to introduce you both to', she said gently, stroking her hand through Charlotte's curls as she lay against her chest.
'Baby?', Theo asks, lifting his head, and Taylor nods. 'Yes, buddy, mommy had your baby sister. Daddy is going to bring her in, okay?'
To her surprise, Theo nods eagerly, and Travis takes his cue to enter the room, Sophia now out of her car seat and cradled in his arms. 'Here she is, bud', Travis says gently as he sits beside them, turning the baby so they can see. 'This is Sophia'.
Theo reaches out gently, running his arm over her, before leaning forward to press a kiss to her cheek. 'Sophia', he whispers, looking back at his mom, Taylor's eyes now glistening with unshed tears.
'That's right, T, Sophia. Charlotte, look, it's your baby sister', Taylor tries to coax the toddler to look as well, but unsurprisingly, she refuses, instead burrowing her head into Taylor's neck. 'It's okay, baby girl. Mommy's here', she comforts her, stroking her back until she falls asleep, and Travis gently lifts her to take her upstairs and into her crib.
