"You may now kiss the bride."

Roaring applause followed the priests' announcement. He can't believe it, Leorio's married now. He's happy for his friend because after being dumped over and over again, his friend finally found the one for him.

Four years ago, Leorio met Shizuku at the hospital he has been working at, with the girl having an appointment for her astigmatism. He had been there when he saw his friend's heart leap out of his chest and land into the palm of the short-haired girl. He wasn't worried that Shizuku would break Leorio's heart, although she has quite a sharp-tongue added with a dash of denseness he can see that she too truly loves Leorio.

"If I asked you to marry me, would you say yes too?" A man with black hair that's slightly taller than him asked.

Chuckling, Kurapika jokingly smacked him at the shoulder.

"Don't be cheesy at our friend's wedding. And for the record I did say yes to you and will continue to say yes to you." Sometimes his husband can be quite embarrassing.

Smirking, Chrollo brought his left hand that was intertwined to his and kissed his finger in which his ring is located. "Look who's being cheesy now."

Their wedding rings were a simple gold band with a single ruby in the middle. Chrollo's sister, Pakunoda made it for them when they decided to wed two years ago.

Him and Chrollo had met in his second year of college. He was Bisky's model for her final term portfolio. The blonde who was studying to be a lawyer at that time, instantly felt awe when he locked eyes with Chrollo. He didn't know why but, there's something indescribable with him and he feels that he had already spent many decades together with him. It was a surprise that Chrollo also felt that way about him. Chrollo flat out asked him on a date the very same day and they had dated for four years after that.

Glancing at his watch, it read 4:05 pm. He thought that they really should get going now if they want to catch their flight. He feels bad having to ditch the reception party but he knows that Leorio understands. You see, they were on their way to Lukso since it's his brother, Pairo who is graduating tomorrow. It was a bummer that Leorio's wedding and Pairo's graduation kind of overlapped with one another and since he can't ditch the both of them, he just has to have a good sense of time management. Besides, the last time he saw his parents and baby brother was at their wedding.

Tugging at his arm, Chrollo pointed in the direction of Gon and Killua. After all, he should let the best man know that they would be going on ahead. They immediately slipped into their side and whispered their goodbyes and apologies.

"Safe flight to the both of you." Gon said while hugging Kurapika.

"Yeah, too bad you can't stay for the reception. I've been meaning to battle Chrollo-san into a drinking match." Killua pouted.

"Maybe next time kiddo. Tell you what, I'll ask Phinks or Uvo to be my substitute for that match."

"Boo, they get so loud when they're drunk."

They gathered for a photo with the bride and groom and they also whispered their goodbyes to the newlyweds. After that they drove to Lingon Airport.

"C'mon, at least share it with me."

"No. It's not my fault you didn't bring your own form of entertainment."

Inside the plane, they were both seated at their seats and waiting for take-off. In the midst of the wedding chaos Kurapika forgot to bring his own book and now Chrollo's being a douche about it. It also doesn't help that when he sees the black cover and the upside down cross on the book that his husband possesses, he realizes that it was his favorite series.

It's both annoying and endearing at the same time that they are willing to share anything except for books, with them both preferring to concentrate when reading on their own.

"Fine. Be like that, I'll just read from my phone." Rolling his eyes he reached for his phone in his pocket, only to discover that he hadn't charged it the night before.

"Something wrong, love?" He hates how he can hear the smirk from that voice even if he's not looking.

He didn't answer him. He just sulkingly pouted at the window with his arms crossed like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

Chrollo sighed and reached for his own phone. He nudged it into Kurapika's puffy cheeks.

"Here, you can use mine and I'll let you have the book after I've read chapter fifteen."

Chrollo knows the moment that they first had their real argument as a couple, that he can't really win against the blonde. And he's totally fine with that, considering that the reward he got is a kiss on his lips and a blinding smile. "Thank you. I love you."

"Love you too."

Opening his husband's phone he sees his wallpaper. It was a picture of him that Chrollo took on their second year anniversary. He was directly looking at Chrollo at that time and there was a small smile on his lips. His fingers had been tucking a stray of his hair into his ear and it revealed his ruby earring, which he got as an anniversary present from him.

Seeing the barrage of chats into their friends' group chat, he decided to open them. He sees pictures being sent and he decides to scroll onto them one by one.

He sees Nobunaga and Uvogin having a drinking contest. To which the former was obviously losing, if the shade of his cheeks was anything to go by.

Feitan and Phinks having an arm wrestling match with Gon and Killua, with Shalnark cheering them on at the mini bar.

Senritsu playing the piano with Basho who was singing his heart out.

Baise and Malzonelle doing a love shot.

A selfie of Kortopi and Benevolev with a very drunk Hisoka at Illumi's shoulder peeking at the back.

Killua and Kalluto both stopping Alluka from drinking champagne.

Pakunoda and Machi slow dancing in the middle alongside Leorio and Shizuku in matching peace signs, photobombing the couple.

Franklin and Bisky stopping a wasted Hanzo from diving into the cake.

His browsing halted when the pilot announced that they would be taking off. Turning the phone off with his right hand, he then interlaced his left hand with Chrollo. He felt his husband squeeze his hand, a habit that he does whenever they're traveling together, and he soothes his thumb onto Chrollo's knuckles.

When they had taken off, he looked over at Chrollo and saw him reading with his other hand holding the book. He thought about what's happening to the rest of the party right now and he feels his chest constricting due to the overwhelming emotion that he now knows the name of.

As a smile slowly found its way onto Kurapika's mouth, he decided to finally put a name to it, 'Oh, so this is love all along.'
