1- luke finds out about the suicide. hailey calls in tears, says that zanders body was found and his suicide note was mailed to her along with a picture of where his body was. luke rushes over to her house and reads the note (only show parts of it with his reactions in between.) he's traumatized and goes home, locks himself in his room. Marie tries to ask what's wrong but he tells her to go play video games and have fun, not wanting to tell her about her papa. he stares at the wall for a while.

2- luke looks through pictures of him and zander and finds one with him and stacy. i wonder where she's at now... and then he goes through his highschool yearbooks and looks at zanders photos. he goes into the "clubs" section and sees tmc pictures. tears up. looks to see where zander signed his senior year yearbook and sees that stacy signed w/ her phone number. he decides to give it a shot. she liked me back then, didn't she? well, it's worth a try. he calls her and cliffhanger.
3- calls stacy. she picks up. after they say hellos and how are yous, stacy asks how zander is and luke tells her he's gone. she's like "oh... im really sorry to hear that. let me know if you want to talk about it, okay?" and luke's like "do you think we can hang out? i need to distract myself from this." they plan to hang out at her house. she tells him that her husband passed away from an unknown illness, leaving their twin sons with her. luke mentions he has an adoptive daughter that's (age) years old, and she says her twins are a year older. they chat for a while.
time skip to when luke is getting ready to go to her house the next day.
4- he goes to her house. after dropping marie off at a birthday party. when she gets there, she meets the twins, Robert and Romeo. she says they were named after her husband's favorite voice actor and her favorite novel. (reference to zander's voice actor.) the twins leave to go to a friend's house, and stacy leads luke into the kitchen. they snack for a bit and talk before stacy asks if he wants to talk about zander. luke says no and that he needed a distraction. he says he needs to feel happy again. stacy offers to help him feel good... enter sex scene. they go upstairs to the master bedroom and do the deed. (write a legit smut.)
after that, they decide to become boyfriend and girlfriend. luke pushes zander to the back of his mind, thinking that dating stacy will help him move on.
5- time skip 3 weeks, luke feels a lot happier. him and stacy are going on a date. they're at the cafe, talking about how fun it was to hang out with the twins and get pizza, when stacy starts feeling sick. they go into the bathroom and she gets sick (don't detail this too much). they go to the pharmacy and get a couple pregnancy tests after recalling that they didnt use protection. stacy goes into the bathroom and does the pee thing (idk) comes back out and the first test is positive. they go home and she does two more tests, both of which are positive. luke and stacy hug and kiss and cuddle.
6- skip a couple of days, stacy and the twins are coming over to luke's house so all the kids can meet. marie is a bit uncertain at first, but she gets along with the boys after a while. they order burgers and eat dinner, and then eat a cheesecake that stacy made for dessert. very tasty. stacy tells marie about how her and luke met, promptly leaving out the part about her kissing luke without consent back in highschool. the boys start listening in too. her and luke make eye contact, and decide to tell the kids about what happened with everything.
"kids... we have a lot to tell you three. so please, listen up." stacy says.
"if you pay attention the whole time, you can have another slice of cheesecake!" luke sucessfully engages the kids.
7- stacy fills in marie about her husband's death to the unknown illness. that goes by quickly. then, luke hesitantly starts talking about him and zander. he says that they had a really bad fight, and he kicked zander out of the house. zander disappeared, and after a few months, was found dead to suicide. he says he found out from zanders step sister. marie starts crying when luke says zander is dead. "p-papa's gone...?" there's a bit of silence, before stacy launches into a speech about getting over sadness together. she says that her and luke teamed up to combat the sorrow that fills their lives. that leads into her announcing that she's pregnant with luke's baby, and the boys get really mad, saying that if she really loved their dad, she wouldnt move on so fast. marie goes to her room, sobbing, slamming her door. stacy sends the boys to the car and sighs, looking at luke. "that went well, didn't it?" "yup. that went perfectly." (sarcasm)
8- a week later. the boys are done being mad and marie has been coping with the death of her papa. luke gives hailey a rough summary of what's happened. call ends abruptly when stacy comes over with the twins. all the kids go into the basement to play VR games, best friends like nothing happened. stacy asks luke if they're going to get married. luke suggests they go ring shopping. they quickly tell the kids to stay safe and they go to the mall. after a half hour, stacy finds her perfect ring. luke buys it and gets a ring box. they go to the park by the mall and luke proposes. stacy says yes and they kiss. for a split second, luke forgets about zander, about the pain, about everything. but after the kiss ends, he comes to terms with the fact that he will never forget about zander. but together, with his fiance, they can go from being equally broken to equally healed.
