Varian's amnesia

Hi! 

I know it was long, and I know that it is long every  time, BUT! I have a longer chapter now! I really hope you like it!

I don't have much else to say so... 

Lance was just telling him about story of Eye of Pincosta when Eugene climbed down a ladder from the roof and turned to them.

"Boys, I want to propose to her!" He took a breath in "I will propose to Rapunzel! In Vardaros! It's gonna be perfect!"

"Uh... you sure it's a good idea? I mean last time she said no and you probably also thought it would be perfect!" Lance said concernedly

"Thank you, Lance!" Eugene answered in annoyed tone

"He's right though! As far as I know it's Raps's first time exploring the world and..." he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly "I don't really think she would want to, you know, settle down just after she broke free..." He trailed down and an shot apologetic look at Eugene 

"Urgh!" he groaned. Eugene reluctantly hid the ring box inside his vest and then added defeatedly "Fine, I guess you're right"

After a few minutes of rather uncomfortable silence - in which Varian again used the 'beautiful clouds' tactic - they heard Cassandra shout "Were here" from the outside and Varian let out a sigh of relief.

He walked out of caravan after Lance who shouted something about finding a picnic spot and laid on a grass nearby enjoying the cool steady grass and a warm sun on his face.

Varian was just trying to make a formula for his goo to become less sticky and more like a soft clay so he can make something like a bed in case of need when he heard a blood-curving scream.

He jumped, scrambled to stand up, ran towards the sound, turned the corner of the caravan and froze, goo bomb in one hand. 

There stood Cassandra, holding an old gnome-like man who was the source of the awful sound and Lance standing there stunned.

Moments after Rapunzel ran in the clearing "C-Cass, Cass! Are you okay?" she was just at the angle where she couldn't see... whatever that man was "We heard a scream!"

"That wasn't me" She answered disgustedly and turned so Raps can also see that old gnome 

The man then screeched again. Varian covered his ears and curled his lip in instant disgust to this man

"Shorty?" Raps asked shocked. 

Okay, so... it's? name is Shorty. Ew.

"How did you get here?" Eugene looked at the gnome 

"How indeed?" started Shorty in a strange dazed manner, and dusted off the seat of his tunic "The circumstances which led to my unexpected departure from Corona make for a long yet fascinating tal-"

"Bottom-line us, Beardy" said Cassandra in clearly and absolutely annoyed tone, rolling her eyes

"I fell asleep in a food trunk" Shorty said simply like it was a completely normal thing and casually walked towards caravan.

Before Varian could do anything Lance rushed past him with a panicked face and looked into the trunk "No, no, no, no, no ! The food! He ate all the food! The bread! The cheese! Those little cocktail weenies and the peppercorn jelly! Gone! All gone ! Why? Why ? You're a monster !

Eugene sighed and pinched his nose "Well. I guess someone should head into town and pick up more supplies. Anyone up for a walk?" 

"Uh, ...I'll go! ...If that's okay" Rapunzel offered fidgeting with her hair.
