Since Nya had ordered a gift for her brother, she'd been running around the stores looking for nice gift boxes and other little things. Looking at the clock she realized it was almost fifteen to five and walked towards the coffee.
-It's going to be an awesome Christmas!- Jay exhaled, pulling off his apron. Cole grinned sadly as he took off his apron.
-I'm going to give my parents a present first, and then I'm going on a Christmas date with Nya!- he continued, throwing the gray-red scarf around his neck.
-How are you going to spend Christmas?- Jay asked after he had tied the scarf in a neat, little knot.
-Probably not very well," the black-haired boy said in the same sad tone.
-My father will be nagging and saying, "You didn't follow in my footsteps like I thought you would! I'm disappointed in you!"- Cole said sarcastic.
-Forget it. It doesn't matter.- He added after a burst of irritation. But before Jay could say anything, Nya ran in.
-Huh, you ready?- She asked right away.
-Yeah.- Cole said, and took four plastic bags tied at the top with a red velvet ribbon from the counter where the coffee machine was. There was a gingerbread man in each one. They all looked big and very pretty. The icing was evenly applied to the cookies and it was obvious that they had been made with great care.
-Oh, my God, they're so beautiful! You packaged them too! COLE YOU'RE THE BEST, THANK YOU!- Nya jumped up and down in delight. Cole, a little embarrassed by the praise, mumbled something like, "No problem. Nya put the gift in her bag and after saying goodbye to Cole, she left, and Jay did the same, running to catch up with her. After the black-haired boy locked the door of the coffee shop, he headed toward his house. Already realizing that his father was going to nag him about "Wrong Way" as usual, he entered the house. It was quiet. Exhaling he walked into the kitchen and saw a note from his father. "Son, I knew you were working at your, that bakery and I thought I'd leave a note so you wouldn't be looking for me. I'm away on Christmas tour, so I'll be gone for a few days or so. Have a good Christmas.". Finishing the note Cole pounded his fist on the table. He might have thought his father would be a bit of a spoilsport, but he didn't expect him to be away from him this holiday. Especially as Cole, despite his parent's strictness, loved him and had prepared a nice present for him, but what was it for if there was no one to give it to? The guy crumpled and threw the note into the trash can and sat down on the couch. After thinking a little more he realized that there was no point in staying home alone and decided to go to town again and
and celebrate there.Meanwhile, Nya was wrapping a present for her brother Kai, which consisted of hair gel, some pretty cool men's perfume that she wasn't allergic to, and some gingerbread baked by the pastry chef of the little coffee shop behind the bar, "Red Samurai". And then Kai himself burst into her room. He was about eighteen years old with dark brown hair neatly styled with gel. He was wearing a red sweatshirt with a fire in the middle and gray pants. Nia quickly hid his present behind herself so her brother wouldn't see it.
-So, are you ready?- he asked quickly.
-Yeah, you didn't forget the flowers for mom, did you?- Said Nya and Kai shook his head to let her know that he was ready too.
-I think they'll like our present.- Said Kai with a smile.
-It's really time for them to rest somewhere warm.- He left the room again.
-Don't forget that we're giving the tickets together!!!- Nya shouted in Kai's wake, to which he mumbled his agreement and then went back to his room.- - -
