Warmest Christmas ever! (ENG.)

Chapter 3: Nice gifts.

It was already six o'clock in the evening. Kai and Nya walked into the living room where their parents were sitting discussing something. They were very dressed up. Their mom was wearing a blue-gray dress and their dad a burgundy jacket. Basically everyone was nicely dressed except for Kai who was still wearing the same sweatshirt, while Nia was wearing a nice dark blue denim sundress. As soon as they saw them their conversation was interrupted.
-What? Shall we go eat? Your mother has prepared a delicious dinner!- The man smiled even more and led the family into the room where there was a kitchen and dining room together. Everyone sat down and started eating.

When it was time to say the wishes, Kai and Nia's mom stood up.
-Dear ones, I am very happy to spend this Christmas in our family circle! I'm especially happy for Nya, who has a soul mate!- said her mom, making the girl blush a little, while Kai giggled.
-But I wish Kai would also bring someone to meet us at last! Really, son, you are older than your sister and you can't find anyone?)- With a little mockery in her voice said their mother's wish. Kai stopped giggling and also blushed a little.
-Everyone is afraid of him!- Nya giggled now.
-No!- Kai exclaimed turning to his sister.
-Okay, maybe it's true that my son just can't find the one he needs, that's all! - The head of the family stood up smiling too.

The rest of the evening passed quietly and cheerfully then everyone gave each other presents. The parents were very happy, and Kai and Nya's mother almost fainted when she saw the bouquet of flowers and two tickets to a warm place for vacation. From their parents Kai got a season ticket to all the rides in the Mega Monster Park and Nya got a season ticket to the biggest shopping center in Ninjago City. Kai and Nia exchanged their gifts. Nia received from her brother a chain with a water drop pendant, a beautiful hair band, and a box of Rafaello candy. When Kai opened his gift he first pulled out a jar of hair gel saying smiling: "You know me well as always!)" then smelled the perfume which he liked very much and finally took out the gingerbread. After looking at the first three he noticed the fourth one which was in the form of a fire that the guy liked the most.

After talking some more, Nya asked:
-Mom, Dad, thank you for the evening but can I go now? I need to be at the Ninjago City Center at eleven.- Looking at the clock that read 22:30, her parents nodded and the black-haired girl went to her room.
-Heeey, where she is going?- Asked Kai his parents, but Nia came into the living room again and answered on her own:
-A date with Jay. I told you, did you forget?- Rolled her eyes and asked the girl. The guy nodded nervously.
-So, Nia, please be careful! No alcohol! And tell Jay that if anything happens to you, he'll be in trouble!- Mom said in a warning tone.
-I promise everything will be okay.- She kissed her mom and her dad on the cheek and slipped her shoes on and ran out the front door. Kai pouted as he watched her go.
-Dad, can I go to town too?- Kai asked and his parents smiled.
-Okay, go ahead. But only you also need to be very careful and no alcoh...- Kai's mother started to say as he interrupted her:
-Mom, I'm an adult!- He was already putting on his hat when he ran to the box of Nia's gift and took a bag of gingerbread in the shape of a fire and put it in his pocket.
-Love, I think he's allowed a little.- His father added.
-Okay, but not too much! We won't be looking for you drunk all over Ninjago City!- she warned her son.
-I wasn't going to drink at all, but if I do, I promise I'll be sober as usual!- said Kai, and after saying goodbye to his parents, he went to the stairwell.
