The little hotel of the Honor family on the main road of the meagerly populated Davenport, located close to the sea, was the place to be for tourists and aspiring surfers who wanted to see the beauty of the Californian beaches and nature. Mrs. Honor and Mr. Honor got three children, one boy followed by two girls, who grew up in Davenport and usually were the talk of the town, because of their unusual fates.
𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐑, the middlest daughter of the Honor family and the only one of the family that got to go to University, returns for the summer holidays to her parents dear old town. Studying classical literature at the prestigious Stanford University, grants Clementine the 'golden child' status among her family and the town. She is a girl with endless opportunity and surely the only one in the family to succeed a prosperous life out of Davenport.
Clementine knows this summer will be like any other hot summer in sunny California. She'll go surfing with her best friends and help her little sister with the annual summer newspaper of the elementary school. And of course, to keep her scholarship at Stanford, she studies ahead for the next year.
However, the boring summer season takes an exciting turn when an unusual guest checks into Hotel Honor and attracts a lot of attention from the townsmen.
𝐉𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐁𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐄, youngest member to be drafted by a NFL team ever, ended his second year at the San Francisco 49ers with a severe concussion, now he is unable to play in the next preseason games. To take the time off from the public and rehabilitate from his injury, he decides to take off to the town where he used to go with his parents during the summer holidays of his childhood. Davenport hasn't changed in the slightest. However, now there's the eldest daughter of the family Honor whose attention he'd captured. She can't seem to leave him alone— and all because of her little sister's school's newspaper. . .

the crazy love stories of the olympics have driven me to write an original sports romance. clementine and james are unapologetically based of taylor swift and travis kelce, aka the literature major and the football player (you know how to ball, i know aristotle). so high school and the alchemy are their top songs. will i regret writing this, absolutely not.
this is my first time writing an original romance story. i try to use as much as tropes that i like, most of them stated above. at the beginning of the story, the setting is mostly based on a beach town in california and the beautiful national parks laying near davenport. however, nearing the end of the story, there will be more a depth into the city, university and nfl setting.
the cover art is made by AI. it's the most beautiful cover i've ever made. so i'm quite proud of it
