The training exercise was intense. Every student in Class 1-A was glued to the screens in monitorroom, watching the battle between Team A—Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka—and Team D—Katsuki Bakugou and Tenya Iida.

The air was thick with tension, each move scrutinized by their classmates. Y/N stood beside Todoroki, her feline ears twitching in anticipation as she watched her friends fight.

The battle was brutal. Bakugou, with his usual ferocity, attacked relentlessly, while Iida’s speed kept their opponents on edge. But despite the overwhelming pressure, Izuku and Uraraka managed to outsmart their opponents, claiming victory by reaching the nuclear core just in time.

"Team A wins" Almighty announced, his voice booming through the training facility. But the victory was bittersweet.

Izuku was severely injured, his body battered from the relentless attacks, while Uraraka, drained from overusing her quirk, was on the verge of collapse. On the other hand, Bakugou and Iida were unscathed, standing with their heads held high despite their loss. The stark contrast between the two teams was undeniable.

Izuku was immediately rushed to get treated, his classmates’ concern evident as they watched him being carried away.

Meanwhile, Uraraka couldn’t hold it in any longer; the strain was too much. She doubled over, throwing up from the intense pressure of the fight.

Y/N’s eyes widened in concern. Without hesitation, she rushed to Uraraka’s side, kneeling down beside her.

“Are you alright?” she asked softly, her hand gently patting Uraraka’s back.

Despite the dizziness and the nausea, my heart swelled with happiness as Y/N’s attention was entirely focused on me. This is what I wanted—her concern, her care, all directed at me.

I smiled weakly at her, trying to look as vulnerable as possible. “I’m alright, Y/N,” I said, my voice trembling slightly for effect. But as I leaned against her, feigning exhaustion, I let myself fall into her chest, nuzzling my face against her. Her scent, her warmth—it was intoxicating.

Y/N, bless her clueless heart, only looked more concerned, patting my head softly. “You should rest, Ocha. You really pushed yourself back there.”

I wanted to stay like this forever, in her arms, where no one else could have her. But I knew I couldn’t push it too far—not yet. I let her help me stand, leaning on her more than I actually needed to, enjoying every second of her touch.

As Y/N helped Uraraka to her feet, Todoroki’s eyes never left them. He watched Y/N’s every move with a calm, calculating gaze, noting the way she seemed oblivious to the effect she had on everyone around her.

A part of him admired her kindness, her willingness to care for others. But another part of him—the part he was still coming to terms with—felt an uncomfortable knot in his chest as he watched her tend to Uraraka. He wanted that attention for himself, wanted her to look at him with those concerned eyes, to be the one she cared for.

Almighty approached Bakugou, who was still standing in the same spot, his expression unreadable. The victory that should have been his was snatched away by the very person he despised the most. But what stung even more was the attention Y/N was giving to someone else. The growl in his chest threatened to erupt, but he held it in, his eyes locked on Y/N.

“Bakugou,” Almighty began, his tone firm yet understanding.

“You’re strong, there’s no doubt about that. But strength isn’t everything. You need to learn how to work with others, to see beyond your own power and acknowledge the strengths of those around you. This is something you need to understand if you want to become a true hero.”

Bakugou didn’t respond. His eyes were still fixed on Y/N, watching as she fussed over Uraraka. He clenched his fists, the urge to pull Y/N away, to claim her as his, growing stronger with each passing second.

‘Damn it'

he thought, anger simmering just beneath the surface.

‘Why is she wasting her time with that extra?’

Uraraka, still leaning against Y/N, caught Bakugou’s glare from across the room. She smirked inwardly, feeling a twisted sense of satisfaction.

‘That’s right, she’s with me now,’ Uraraka thought. ‘And I’m not letting her go.’

I helped Uraraka to her feet, still worried about her condition. She was smiling at me, but it didn’t quite reach her eyes. I wondered if the battle had taken more of a toll on her than she was letting on.

“Ocha, are you sure you’re okay? You don’t have to push yourself if you’re not feeling well.”

She leaned into me a little more, her head resting on my shoulder. “I’m fine, really. Just a bit tired.”

I nodded, still not entirely convinced, but I didn’t want to press her. Instead, I led her over to a bench where she could sit and rest.

As I turned back, I caught Todoroki watching us, his expression as calm as ever, but there was something in his eyes that made me pause. Was he worried too? I wasn’t sure, but the way he looked at me made my heart skip a beat, though I didn’t understand why.

Almighty approached bakugou, iida and uraraka. his voice cutting through the tension.

"The best in this match was young Iida!" Almighty declared, catching everyone off guard.

"Wh-what!?"- iida stuttered

"WHO KNOWS WHY?" Almight ask.

Momo raised her hand "yes, almight sensei"

"It’s because Iida was the one who adapted the most to the situation," she explained,  "Uraraka’s game got loose halfway through, and her final attack was too reckless. The same reasoning goes for Midoriya. Iida devised a counter-strategy against an opponent because he correctly supposed the match would revolve around the core."

Bakugou’s expression darkened even further as momo continued. "Bakugou's behavior was clearly Driven by some personal grudge, and thus totally arbitrary. furthermore just as you told us earlier, Sensei, a large-range attack in an indoor arena is just idiotic."

Bakugou didn’t respond, his eyes narrowing as her words washed over him. The praise for Iida only fueled the fire of anger burning within him. He didn't care about Almighty’s reasoning or the logic behind the praise. All that mattered was the fact that he had lost—and to someone like Deku, no less.

“Alright, the next team up is… Team B and Team I!” Almighty’s announcement brought everyone’s attention back to the screens.

Y/n's heart skipped a beat when she realized she was up next. Team B—that was her and Todoroki. She look at Todoroki who as always look emotionless..
